The Path to Norman
Logan Howland, a member of OU’s 2023 class, came to Norman from farther than most. The New Jersey product received an OU offer at the 2022 spring game; Howland also made his way to Norman for ChampUBBQ that summer. Despite playing mostly tight end and defensive end in high school, he was viewed as an offensive line prospect for college. A final five of Iowa, Michigan, Vanderbilt, and Miami was not enough to deny Coach Bedenbaugh a commit later that summer.

Highlights
This Season
Howland has received praise for his physical maturation this offseason, an encouraging trend for the former tight end. The tackle spot has a two deep that looks set to be Michael Tarquin, Spencer Brown, Jacob Sexton, and Jake Taylor. Howland will likely see more game time this year than in 2023, working in a depth role with great potential to heavily contribute or start in 2025.
