The Path to Norman
Geirean Hatchett was part of a group of transfer linemen to head to OU in the spring of 2024. Hatchett had the Sooners in the mix for his high school recruitment out of Washington state, but decided to go to the in-state Huskies. After three seasons there, he entered the transfer portal and landed in Norman.

Career so Far
Geirean Hatchett did not play in the shortened 2020 season. In 2021, he took a redshirt year, again without playing.
2022 saw Hatchett play in every game for the Huskies. The following season, Hatchett started in the first three games of the season and played in the first eight before an injury sidelined him. He came back toward the end of the season and once again saw action for the Joe Moore offensive line winners.

This Season
Hatchett comes to Oklahoma with two more years of eligibility and primed to make an immediate impact. The entire line will see new faces getting significant playing time. Hatchett looks likely to start at left guard, where his experience will be more than welcome as the Sooners enter the SEC.
