After a redshirt season and a season of getting his feet wet, Burks exploded in 2023. After a big season, he entered the transfer portal and landed with the Sooners.

Career so Far

Burks took a redshirt season in 2021, playing in four games and seeing a handful of touches.

In 2022, Burks played in all 14 games, but was used sparingly in the passing game. He caught seven passes for 80 yards, along with recovering a fumble for a touchdown.

His redshirt sophomore campaign was a big one. Burks was a season-long starter, leading the team in receptions and receiving yards.

Highlights

This Season

Burks was one of the standouts of the offseason, with huge expectations setting in. He was named third team Preseason All-SEC this summer. His speed has enabled him to work frequently in the return game, where he can certainly have a big impact. In a room with quite a few returning players and talented options, Burks might be in for the biggest season of all.
