The Path to Norman
Chapman McKown’s move to OU was a short one; the running back played high school ball at Norman North. McKown earned an OU offer as a preferred walk-on the summer before his senior season. Shortly after that offer, he decided to join the Sooners.

Career so Far
McKown suffered a torn ACL in training camp before the 2023 season. He redshirted while recovering from the injury.
Highlights
This Season
McKown has shown promise over the offseason as he has got back onto the field. However, returning from a significant injury can be very difficult. On top of that, the running back group has a lot of options ahead of him. McKown will work to find snaps this year while maintaining his good health.
