The Path to Norman
Brenan Thompson began his time in college on the wrong side of the Red River; the 2022 receiver with blazing speed played for Texas his freshman season. Although Thompson had shown interest in the Sooners during his recruitment process, he didn’t end up as part of the OU recruiting class. After just one year with the Longhorns, however, Thompson revisited that idea and transferred to Norman.

Career so Far
In 2022 with the Longhorns, Thompson played in nine games, making one catch.
Thompson missed a large part of the 2023 season due to injury. He played in six games in the back half of the season, averaging a whopping 34.4 yards per catch over his seven receptions and showing his blazing speed.

This Season
Thompson has been healthy this offseason and has continued to show how fast he is. He will have a chance this fall to make a role for himself in a receiver room deep in talent but with several injuries.
