The Path to Norman

Kalib Hicks, a Texas high school football running back, started bringing in offers about two years before his eventual signing day. He collected offers from plenty of programs over the next year and a half, including ones from Alabama, Auburn, and Penn State. However, the OU offer came just before the summer of 2022. Within a month and following a visit to Norman, Hicks was committed to the Sooners.

In Hicks’ first season at OU, he played in just two games on his way to a redshirt season.

This Season

Hicks is still essentially a newcomer to the OU offense, having played only six snaps in 2023. Hicks will have to work hard to see increased snaps this season.
