The Path to Norman

Maureese Wren, the brother of former Sooner player and then graduate assistant Erick Wren, took a long path to OU. Out of Texas high football, Wren signed with Louisiana Tech in the 2018 recruiting class. He went to Tyler Junior College, then switched to Texas State for the 2020 season. Following that year, Wren entered the transfer portal and landed with the Sooners.

This Season

In his final season of college elibility, Wren will be battling to earn snaps in the new Ted Roof defense and providing depth on the defensive line.
