The Path to Norman

Curtis Bolton committed to the Sooners five years ago, almost down to the day. The Sooners won the services of the California linebacker over programs including Arizona, Iowa State, and Washington. Jerry Montgomery and Tim Kish were instrumental in bringing in the young man.

Career So Far

2014 was a redshirt season for Curtis. The next two season, he saw action in several games, but played mostly on special teams. 2017 looked to be the season for Curtis Bolton to become a regular sight on the defensive side of the ball, but an ankle injury against Baylor cut his year short.

Stats

2018 Season

Recently, Curtis is playing at the Will Backer spot along with Levi Draper. While Caleb Kelly has that spot locked down, the competition was apparently fierce between Bolton and Draper for much of the summer. Recently, it appears that Bolton has pulled ahead and will take the spot behind Kelly. Curtis Bolton’s veteran presence will be welcome on the defensive side of the ball this season.
