The Path to Norman
Brian Darby played high school football in College Station, home of the Aggies. His recruitment flew largely under the radar for some time, with offers from Arizona, Kansas State, and Utah. Then, following the Sooners satellite camp in Houston, OU extended an offer to the wide receiver.

Career so Far
Darby played in eight games during his freshman season. It appeared that he may earn time at running back, but instead he played both at special teams and at receiver.
In 2021, Darby once again provided depth at receiver. He played in seven games and hauled in his first career touchdowns.

This Season
The receiver room, returning several talented pieces, will be looking to improve upon a relatively quiet season in 2021. In a completely new offense, guys like Darby will have a clean slate and a chance to earn increased snaps. He will continue to provide depth at receiver, but look to be a bigger piece of the offense in 2022.
