The Path to Norman
General Booty, a quarterback out of Texas, comes from a family of athletes. His father played receiver at LSU, one uncle was a quarterback at LSU and a Major League Baseball player, and another uncle played quarterback at USC in the Pete Carroll era. After moving around when he was younger, Booty played high school football in Allen, Texas. He then spent a year at Tyler JUCO, where he put up serious numbers. After that, new Coach Lebby came calling with a scholarship and General Booty headed to Norman.

Highlights
This Season
The 2022 OU quarterback room will look completely different than last season. Dillon Gabriel will be the starter, with two other newcomers (Booty and Davis Beville) behind him. With three years of eligiblity in front of him, Booty has a chance to earn valuable minutes in a backup role this season and be prepared for more in the future.
