The Path to Norman
As the highest ranked recruit (per 247) to head to Norman since Rhett Bomar (until Caleb Williams arrived), Jadon Haselwood came to OU with plenty of excitement. Haselwood was committed to Georgia for almost a year and a half through his recruiting process. A visit to Norman for the 2018 spring game started some Oklahoma momentum, coupled with Jadon’s father having attended OU. A few months before signing day, he opened his recruitment again. In the end, the Lincoln Riley offense won the recruitment of the elite receiver.

Career so Far
Haselwood came in with Theo Wease, Trejan Bridges, and Austin Stogner as one of the most talented receiver classes to ever head to Norman. The four looked like the real deal when arriving on campus in 2019.
Jadon played in all but one game his freshman season. He looked every bit the elite receiver that was promised, ending the season fifth on the team in receiving yards (CeeDee Lamb, Charleston Rambo, Lee Morris, and Nick Basquine). While many Sooner fans wished to see Haselwood more often, he was certainly impressive in the time he had.
Unfortunately, Jadon was out for most of the shortened 2020 season with an ACL injury. He played in only three games, working his way back into the rotation.

Highlights
This Season
Haselwood has been working towards a fully healthy season throughout the offseason; TFB has routinely reported he’s been working hard and making some impressive plays in practice. The wide receiver position was not up to Coach Riley’s standards last season. In 2021, there are several returning players and new additions vying for snaps. Haselwood is the tallest and biggest receiver on OU’s roster and likely to work outside. When fully healthy, Haselwood has a chance to be a breakthrough player and star for Oklahoma this year. After a season of extremely limited action, Sooner fans are anxious to see the big target lining up in crimson and cream once more.
