The Path to Norman
Theo Wease teased Sooner fans before landing in Norman. He committed to Oklahoma in February of 2017, but reopened his recruitment in April of the same year. However, he never seemed out of reach to OU fans and it seemed like a recommitment was always within reach. In April of 2018, he let it be known that he was going to stick with his OU commitment over other top programs including USC, LSU, and Alabama.

TFB spotlighted Theo shortly before his recommitment to get to know him better, which you can find here.
Career so Far
Wease came in with Jadon Haselwood, Trejan Bridges, and Austin Stogner as one of the most talented receiver classes to ever head to Norman. The four looked like the real deal when arriving on campus in 2019.
Theo Wease appeared in every game but one in 2019. He had some impressive catches, including a big game against Baylor. Although the entire talented group listed above received fewer targets than Sooner fans would have liked, his talent was on full display when he had opportunities.

Highlights
2020 Season
2020 could be a really big year for Wease. Wease, Haselwood, Bridges, and Charleston Rambo are back and will look to be the leaders of the group. However, both Haselwood (injury) and Bridges (suspension) will be missing time this season, creating the opportunity for more concentration on guys like Wease. His talent for getting yards after the catch could even make him an All-Big 12 level receiver this year. Don’t be surprised to see a breakout year from Theo Wease.
