The Path to Norman

Kalib Hicks, a Texas high school football running back, started bringing in offers about two years before his eventual signing day. He collected offers from plenty of programs over the next year and a half, including ones from Alabama, Auburn, and Penn State. However, the OU offer came just before the summer of 2022. Within a month and following a visit to Norman, Hicks was committed to the Sooners.

Despite turning some heads this offseason, Hicks was not listed on this week’s depth chart. He’ll likely have the opportunity to redshirt this fall, play in a few games to gain experience, and be ready to be a bigger factor in the OU offense in 2024.
