If this is to be believed, it doesn’t sound like we’ll be seeing AD on a football field any time soon. (Yahoo)

Really good piece on Dave Chappelle (Chappelle Show rules!). (GQ)

Not quite ‘Back to the Future’ level, but still pretty cool.

Clever.

Not unattractive. And being from Game of Thrones will only ever help your cause.

That would be pretty freaky to be blind-folded, think you were going bungee jumping, and then do this.

Excited Woods is getting back in there. He strikes me as the scrappy type who will get separation from the DB and block like a mad man upfield.

  • HoustonChiver says:

Glad to hear about Woods, I feel bad for the kid having to sit out with injuries and watch the two WRs he signed with catch their stride.

  • CS says:

yay!!! 21st in the new poll, how exciting!!!! NOT!

  • leatherneck1061 says:

Both TCU and Baylor have as good a claim as any in that bracket. This mindless SEC worship is so aggravating.

    • SoonerGoneEast says:

Aggravating? It’s borderline criminal what’s been going on.

      • leatherneck1061 says:

Agreed. The aggravating part is the feeling of being powerless to stop it. The ESPiN propaganda machine and their cohorts exert influence in shaping the CFB playoff in a way to further their own profits, and we sit helpless on the sidelines. So sick of this…..feel like I just can’t watch it anymore. Would be nice if Fox sports could give ESPiN some real competition and finally give a voice to the other side.

        • SoonerGoneEast says:

Yeah, that would be nice, but FOX is such a small player. Maybe FOX and others could make a difference collectively.

It’s terrible to say, but if I weren’t so deeply vested in OU Football, then I would take at least a huge step back from CFB altogether. What they’ve done and are actively doing is terrible. The SEC agenda is blatantly open now which shows you just how little they care about your opinion even though we’re the ones who (indirectly) finance it all. I don’t know, CFB just doesn’t feel like it used to.

          • leatherneck1061 says:

No it doesn’t. They’re trying to bastardize it just like they have the NFL and everything else they’ve touched. It’s just like politics, government, corporate wall street, and everything else. The elite will tell us what is best whether we like it or not.

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

            You’ll like it because they DO know what’s best for you. Isn’t it curious though, that what’s best for you always seems to add to their power, wealth and influence. ( ;

Seeing Bama at #1 is a joke. They’ve somehow missed the fact that Bama has played a bunch of teams who haven’t played anyone. They struggled badly vs. WVU. In fact, WVU gave that game away. But seeing Miss State in the top 4 is an even bigger joke.

  • Swanny says:

There is a scenario where Bama loses to Auburn, Miss. St loses to Ole Miss and no SEC team gets in the playoff. That would be ideal, and it would probably mean that Baylor and TCU could possibly both be in.

    • Sooner_Ace says:

Somehow there will be an SEC team in the final 4, even with the above scenario

      • Boom says:

        no doubt.

        • Swanny says:

          Perfect scenario:
          3 loss Auburn beats bama
Miss. St. beats Ole Miss and loses in SEC championship to UGA or Mizz
TCU, Baylor, FSU, and Oregon all finish unbeaten… That would make this bad year from OU mildly redeemable.

          • SoonerinLondon says:

I’ve said for weeks that Bama would be a 2-3 loss team and be matched against OU in the bowl game. Bama slipped by Arky and LSU, so they may avoid the 3rd loss. I’m not sure Auburn can get it done, but they may not get past the SEC CCG.

I didn’t really figure OU for a 3 loss team, 2 maybe. At any rate, Bama is still in play for a bowl matchup, as is ND.

  • rphokc says:

assume the secw winner wins the secc game………I would think that would qualify for a final 4

  • sooners12thman says:

I’m hoping we see Cody work on his passing game and not run the ball all over the field like Knight did against Iowa State. I want to see Cody Thomas against the Pokes!

  • KS47Straight says:

So, what the playoff committee is telling us is that 2 conference champions with 1 loss should be excluded from the playoff so that we can have a rematch from the end of the season with a team that didn’t even win its division, much less its conference. This is what I feared when they decided to go with a selection committee. The committee’s real mandate is to minimize media controversy by listening to the sports media (read ESPN) and do what they want.

    • SoonerGoneEast says:

That’s what the playoff has been about all along. ESPN has worked hard to completely discredit the BCS.
