The Path to Norman
Nate Anderson, out of the DFW area in Texas, was a slightly under the radar lineman for some time. A tall, but somewhat “lighter,” lineman in high school, Anderson started turning heads in the early spring of 2019. The Sooners went out to see Nate in May; within a week, he was offered while on an unofficial visit and committed right after that.

Highlights
This Season
Anderson backed up Andrew Raym at center this spring, who was limited due to injury. Josh Bates also worked at center over the spring. Newcomer Troy Everett also transferred to OU recently, and could certainly be a factor at the spot. Anderson now has three years in Norman and a full spring working at center; Sooner fans will be rooting for him to carve out his role this year.
