The Path to Norman
Jake Taylor, a Las Vegas high school product, and the Sooners circled each other for quite some time. Taylor was an elite recruit as a highly-rated four start and had offers from many of the top programs in the country, with Alabama and Notre Dame rounding out his top three. When he visited Norman for the ChampU BBQ, he was quick to announce for Oklahoma.

Taylor was part of a quality 2022 offensive line class. Jacob Sexton committed just days before Taylor, with Tyler Guyton and McKade Mettauer transferring in.

Career so Far
Taylor saw action right away in his first year on campus. He played in the first three games, then five more throughout the season. He showed promise in his snaps (41) at guard.

This Season
The offensive line will see a mix of returning starters and newcomers. After working mostly at guard in 2022, Taylor has seen time at both guard and tackle over the offseason. Although not currently projected to start, Taylor will have a very good shot at doing so by end of the season and will certainly be a big factor on the line.
