Boom News! | ’23 WR Anthony Evans Commits to Oklahoma!
Posted on: August 26, 2022
The Sooners have picked up a big time commitment from ’23 WR Anthony Evans (5’11 167) out of Converse, TX (Judson)
Evans chose the Sooners of Georgia as the Sooners held off a push from the defending National Champions.
Oklahoma now has three wide receivers in the ‘CHO23N’ class as Evans joins Jaquaize Pettaway and Keyon Brown in the class.
Evans is a guy that brings very good speed to the Sooners. He fits Lebby’s offense like a glove as he is a guy that can take the top of the defense in short order.
Oklahoma made him a priority and navigated the change in wide receiver coaches very well as they kept his commitment. He was one of the discussed locks from the weekend of the ‘Party at the Palace’. If you recall, following the weekend, I said, ‘not all the locks are necessarily guys who were at the event’.
Big time pick up for the Sooners!
