Boom News! | ’23 OL Cayden Green Commits to Oklahoma!
Posted on: July 8, 2022
The Sooners pick up a massive commitment as ’23 offensive lineman Cayden Green (6’5 315) out of Lees Summit, MO. has announced his verbal pledge to Bill Bedenbaugh and Oklahoma!
Green has been a priority for Bedenbaugh for the better part of the past two years and today, he got his guy.
The elite prospect holds close to three dozen offers, including opportunities to play at Notre Dame, home state Missouri, Miami, Georgia, Oregon, LSU, Florida, Iowa, USC and just about everyone else.
In a recruitment that has always felt like it was more of a question of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’, it was Missouri who made things the most interesting and in this day and age, they will have to be kept in check going forward as the Tigers will certainly not throw in the towel.
Green joins Josh Bates and Heath Ozaeta in this years offensive line class and another priority prospect, Logan Howland, is set to announce his choice tomorrow evening.
The addition of Green to the room will give Coach Bedenbaugh some flexibility with the guys he has been recruiting. While Ozaeta and Howland are certain tackle prospects and Bates is pegged as the future OU center, Green is a guy who can play either tackle or guard. He is athletic and has a frame that will hold more muscle and good weight as he develops.
This one was as close to a must-have for Bedenabuagh as there has been over the course of the past two or three years.
Really nice pickup for Oklahoma!
