The Path to Norman
Chris Murray was a UCLA Bruin at the start of his college career. A former 4* recruit out of California, Murray joined the Bruins as part of the 2018 class. He proceeded to start in all 24 games of his freshman and sophomore seasons, switching between guard and center. The lineman was named to the freshman All-American team by both ESPN and 247Sports. In the spring of 2020, Murray transferred to Norman for his final seasons.

Career so Far
It took an unfortunately long time for Murray to gain his eligibility after transferring from UCLA; when he did, Murray saw action in five games for the Sooners as a backup at right guard in 2020.
In 2021, Chris Murray was a big part of the offensive line group. He started all 13 games at right guard and earned second-team All-Big 12 honors. Murray has now started in a whopping 37 games during his college career.

This Season
A three-year starter on the offensive line (admittedly at different schools and with a year in between), Murray is now a veteran for OU. He will once again look to start at right guard in 2022, with McKade Mettauer expected to start at left guard. Behind them will be a group that includes Marcus Alexander, Brey Walker, and Kyle Ergenbright. With a veteran group and fresh offense, the line will be closely watched this season. In his last season on campus, Chris Murray can be part of a solid offensive line in 2022.
