Boom News! | ’22 DL Gracen Halton Signs with Oklahoma!

The Sooners continue to add key pieces to the defensive side of the ball as ’22 DL Gracen Halton has signed with the Sooners!
Halton, (6’3 270) out of San Diego, CA, is another guy who emerged as a priority for the new Sooners staff. He was committed to the Oregon Ducks and the day after the Sooners beat up the Ducks in their Alamo Bowl win, they offered him.
As we reported, Halton quickly set up an official visit and from that point on it felt simply like a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’ in regard to flipping to Oklahoma.
Halton officially decommitted from Oregon on January 26th following his official to OU and at that point, Antonio Banderas made his appearance on our board.
He has very good speed for his size and was athletic enough to play multiple positions on the defensive line throughout his high school career.
At OU, he will be an interior guy and once Schmidty gets his hands on him, he has the frame to add some good weight.
Very nice late addition to the class here for Oklahoma!
