The Path to Norman
Damond Harmon is one of two players in the 2021 OU class hailing from Highland Springs (Virginia), the other being Kelvin Gilliam. Harmon started gaining traction with the Sooners in the spring of 2020, when he received his offer. The defensive back had an offer list that included Georgia, Penn State, Ohio State, and Texas. Harmon announced his commitment in late summer.

Highlights
This Season
Harmon comes to Norman with the type of size and versatility that Coach Grinch likes to use; he could conceivably play almost anywhere in the secondary. With a lot of returning experience, it will be tough to crack the two-deep so quickly, especially after arriving just this summer. A redshirt season, with a couple of games to gain experience, is likely in store for 2021. However, Damond Harmon looks like a defensive back that can make a major impact over the next few seasons for Oklahoma.
