The Path to Norman
Ben Tawwater played high school football just up the road from Norman at Bishop McGuinness (Oklahoma City). Tawwater played all over the offensive line in high school. An overlooked recruit, he had an interesting story of becoming a Sooner. Coach Gundy and Coach Bedenbaugh connected with Tawwater’s coach, then Ben himself, then offered him a preferred walk-on spot. It didn’t take him long to join the Sooners.
I am blessed to say I will be continuing my football career at the University of Oklahoma. I want to thank my family and coaches for helping me get to this point! #OUDNA #committed @OU_CoachB @LincolnRiley @OU_Football pic.twitter.com/8EV1LrpvnA
