The Path to Norman
Noah Nelson was part of an extremely talented 2019 offensive line class for the Sooners. Hailing out of Arizona, Nelson was recruited as a tackle by West Coast teams like UCLA, Arizona, and Arizona State. However, the two programs that seemed to be vying for most of his attention were Michigan and Oklahoma. Nelson put a strong emphasis on both athletics and academics during his recruiting process. After multiple official and unofficial visits to Norman, he described the strong family feel that Coach Riley focuses on as a big pull and felt confident that OU offered everything he was looking for.

Highlights
This Season
Most of 2020’s offensive line returns in 2021, although the lineup could look different this season. Nelson has been working at right tackle, where Wayna Morris is likely to start. While it will be tough to crack the two-deep this year, Nelson still has a lot of time left in Norman and all the tools to make a big mark.
