Kam Dewberry | Training with a Sooner and a Visit
– Super K
The Sooners recently made the cut for 4-star 2022 OT, Kam Dewberry (Humble, TX). Dewberry’s top five includes: OU, Texas, Bama, TAMU and Ohio State.
Sooners might get a little help from a former Sooner. This past weekend, Kam had a training session here in the Houston area with former Sooner star OL, Trent Williams…
Kam tells me the session took place late on Saturday evening at Trent’s facility.
Kam currently has two official visits set up, one to Texas A&M and the other to Ohio State. His father tells me they are working on setting up other visits but they are deciding whether to do those this summer or wait until the season for the final three visits.
Visit Update | 2022 DB Azareyeh Thomas
– Charlie S
Back in early May, I noted that 2022 defensive back Azareyeh Thomas (6’2″ 180) out of Niceville, FL was looking to lock in a visit to Norman for the June 18th weekend.
‘***I reached out to see if Thomas had a visit to Norman in the works for this summer and he said “Yessir, that’s what I am planning right now!”
***To nobody’s surprise, the weekend he is planning to visit…June 18th.
***He has not officially locked it in with OU right now but he plans on hammering out the details next week and hopes to make it work.’
I was in touch with Azareyeh last night and the planned visit for the June 18th weekend never was able to come together…but…
He told me he has locked in his official for the next weekend, June 25th.
OU is in his top group and the visit on the weekend of the 25th will allow the Sooners to have some really solid individual time with him and his family.
Will update if there are any further changes to his plans.
Visit Note | ’22 DL Omari Abor
– Charlie S
Earlier this evening, 2022 defensive lineman Omari Abor (6’4 240) out of Duncanville, TX posted his visit list on his Instagram page…
As expected, the Sooners will get their shot to impress him on the big June visit weekend. As K has noted Abor has a tremendous relationship with Sooners OLB/DE coach Jamar Cain.
Abor will be in Norman on the 19th.
Will add him to the confirmed list and update that tomorrow!

SMU – 6
Oklahoma – 11
Texas Tech – 4.5
Baylor – 5.5
TCU – 7
Ok St – 7.5
UNT – 4
My take: I think UNT is easy money taking the OVER and I would take the UNDER on Aggie

Update | 2022 DL Chris McClellan
– Charlie S
Sooners 2022 in-state defensive line offer Chris McClellan tweeted out yesterday that he will be trimming his list down on June 3rd.
Expect the big fella out of Owasso to include the Sooners on that tightened-up list.
McClellan also confirmed that he will be heading to Norman in early June as we had previously mentioned.
How early? Try Tuesday, June 1st at 9:00 am.
His unofficial visit is a good opportunity for the Sooners to gain some footing in this recruitment as McClellan’s offer list exploded throughout the spring and Ohio State, Florida and USC have already locked in June officials with him.
Harold Perkins Updates Visit Schedule
– Super K
Earlier this week on his Instagram page, 2022 5-star LB updated his visit schedule which for the most part was what we’ve known and already reported.
June 4th – TAMU
June 11th – USC
June 25th – Florida
The weekend that is still up in the air is June 18th which he lists as a visit to either Texas or OU…
In our reporting, I noted previously that Harold told us he would be taking an unofficial visit to Texas on the weekend of the 18th. He then updated that and told us he would be at OU that weekend.
I do think that part of the issue here is that the Sooners landing Kip Lewis means they really don’t have linebacker numbers. Lincoln Riley has been Harold’s main recruiter and Harold has said he really likes Lincoln. However, I don’t get the sense that Perkins and Odom speak much.
But last I checked, the Sooners were really targeting Ish Harris (visiting for the BBQ) because he can be taken as an ATH.
Sooners really need to get Perkins on campus to have a chance but again, I was told their numbers are tight…
