The Path to Norman
Cade Horton went to high school in Norman. He was a baseball and football star and recruited as such. Horton initially committed to Ole Miss to play baseball; however, he decided that OU was the place to be.
Excited to announce that I have committed to The University Oklahoma to play both baseball and football! #BOOMER pic.twitter.com/H9eEqaedNj

A big draw to Norman was the desire to play both sports. He is going to generate a lot of MLB interest, so it’s hard to know how long he’ll be at OU, but the chance to play quarterback was a big point of interest.

Highlights
2020 Season
With baseball as a big part of Horton’s college career, it will be interesting to see his playing time on the football field. Spencer Rattler will be the starter at quarterback, with Tanner Mordecai his primary backup. Then, guys like Chandler Morris, Colt Atkinson, Tanner Schafer, and Horton will be ready to play if their number is called. Hopefully, the home-grown athlete will get to enjoy time throwing a football during his time in Norman.
