The Path to Norman
Justin Harrington took the JUCO route to OU. He attended Bakersfield College in California, across the entire country from his native North Carolina roots. Harrington visited Norman for the 2019 TCU game; he was impressed with the atmosphere and the staff and players. The visit led to an offer from the Sooners. Super K noted his skillset at the time, mentioning specifically his speed and his knack for being a hitter. After that, the Sooners held strong through a few other visits and landed a signing day announcement from the defensive back.

Career so Far
Harrington was originally planning to arrive in Norman in January; that didn’t happen. Following a handful of delays and pushed schedules, he arrived in Norman in late July.

2020 Season
Unfortunately, Harrington keeps fighting battle after battle to get on the field for OU; he will miss extended time with a lower leg injury. It’s a shame for the JUCO newcomer, as his size and speed make him a legit option at several spots in the secondary. Hopefully he can come back 100% from this and be a presence for the Sooners in the future.
