Tristan Leigh & Family | Post Visit Interview

James Hale once again hosted Tristan Leigh and his mom, Laura, on his radio show on Sportstalk 1400 earlier today following their trip to Oklahoma over the weekend!
I have noted some of the highlights of the interview and included the link at the bottom as James produced another terrific interview!
*** Tristan raves about the Summit. Says he got a better understanding of what OU and Norman has to offer.
*** Biggest thing that stood out to him was how much love the city and people of Norman have for the Sooners.
*** Laura says it was a lot of fun, she enjoyed the differences of this type of visit when compared to other visits.
*** Was glad to be able to bond with the parents and other recruits.
*** Laura says the kids and parents are ready to be part of a family. Says the group really wants to make this a special class.
*** She says it was truly a family event and it was focused on all the recruits being together if they chose OU.
*** Tristan says OU has always been in consideration, but there is nothing like having been there in person. It helped make OU a more viable option.
*** Mentioned that it was important to him that all the commits have similar goals. Talking about being the best teammates possible and working towards a greater goal (National Championship)
*** Laura talked about how the OL recruits hung out together and were strategizing.
*** Talk turned to Caleb throwing the ball with Camar. Said you got a little vision of what could be. Said he and the linemen were talking about how nice it would be to block for them.
*** Laura said it was difficult to see Camar out there because he was so fast (really fun part)
*** Tristan talks about Calebs approach as a recruiter. Said he’s very smooth and not high pressure.
*** Tristan says the main talking point among the OL group was winning the Joe Moore Award. Says it would be hard for any school to take that from them if they all came to Norman.
*** Laura talks about the significance of players, committed or not, spending their own money to get to Norman. Says it was worth definitely worth the money.
*** She says everybody was there because they wanted to be there which made it very special. Gives a nod to Calebs father.
*** Tristan said the Zoom call with the staff was a highlight. Said the staff commended them on how they all put it together.
*** He said the offer to Aidan was the cherry on top.
*** Laura says she lost her voice when Aidan was offered. She was ecstatic and jumping up and down. The fact that she was able to see it go down the way it did, made it very special.
*** Tristan talks about his relationship with Aidan. Said it was a no-brainer to stay and play in the spring with his brother.
*** Tristan talks about his plans on the recruiting front going forward. Says he does not have a specific timeline for a commitment.
*** Laura talks about her hopes for having official visits allowed. Says regardless of what Tristan decides, they are in this together 100%
