The Sooners added a huge piece to the 2021 class as defensive end Nathan Rawlins-Kibonge has announced his verbal commitment to The University of Oklahoma.
Nathan Rawlins-Kibonge (6’7″ 240) picked up an offer from the Sooners upon the arrival of OLB/DE Coach Jamar Cain.
Rawlins-Kibonge was scheduled to visit Norman in April for the Spring Game, but as you all know that had to be pushed off due to the pandemic.
Jamar Cain shrugged off the lack of an official visit for NRK as he continues to show his worth on the recruiting trail and he adds his second top tier target in Rawlins-Kibonge to go along with Clayton Smith who committed earlier this summer.
He currently holds over a dozen offers from the likes of USC, Washington, Miami and Arizona State.
Cain wasted little time in offering Rawlins-Kibonge once he arrived in Norman as he had been recruiting him while he was on the ASU staff. I asked Nathan about his relationship with Cain and he said “It’s a great relationship. I love him as a coach! He keeps it real and doesn’t really care about your feelings”.
Rawlins-Kibonge is a talented two-sport star who was committed to Washington State for Basketball. While he is relatively new to the gridiron, he has the speed and quickness that are cherished by defensive coaches to go along with elite size and length. He is raw, but he has a very high ceiling for certain.
Big get for OU…both figuratively and literally.
