The Path to Norman
Draper’s recruitment started off strong way back in his sophomore year of high school, with D1 offers coming toward the end of the school year. Within a few short months, he had several more offers. Then, the OU offer came the summer after his sophomore year. However, shortly after that, Levi committed to Oklahoma State.
Although committed throughout the fall, the Sooners coaching staff stayed in touch with the linebacker. Later that year, Levi decommitted from the Cowboys one day and committed to the Sooners the next day at his state championship game. Coaches Mike Stoops and Kerry Cooks were big players in his recruitment.

Career So Far
Even before arriving to campus, Levi Draper was a big player in the 2017 recruiting class. He was instrumental in the Sooners landing guys like Tre Brown and Trey Sermon. Unfortunately, Draper had a tough time upon arriving on campus. He fought through flu and strep in the spring. Then, shortly before the start of last season, Draper suffered a torn labrum that kept him out for the season. He accordingly took a redshirt season, which would certainly be eligible for a medical hardship waiver down the line if he chooses to pursue that.

Highlights
2018 Season
Recently, Levi is playing at the Will Backer spot along with Curtis Bolton. While Caleb Kelly has that spot locked down, the competition has apparently been fierce between Bolton and Draper to see who will back him up. Regardless, the high football IQ and talent of Levi Draper will put him on the field this season.
