The Path to Norman
Dru Samia committed to the Sooners way back in August of 2014. The California lineman chose Oklahoma over schools like UCLA, Arizona, Texas Tech, and others.Β
Career So Far
Dru Samia has been a versatile, dependable rock for three years now. He came in and took the starting right tackle job as a true freshman. Samia then jumped over to right guard for most of the next two seasons. Having a guy that can jump back and forth is exactly the kind of thing that Coach Bedenbaugh is known for and loves doing.

2018 Season
The Senior has started 34 games in the last three years; that number will only go up this year. Samia will be the most seasoned player on a very talented offensive line this year and continue to be the dependable rock he has been.
