– Micah Parsons: Yesterday, the number one defensive end in the country, Micah Parsons (Harrisburg, PA) let us know that he is visiting Oklahoma for the Texas Tech game on October 28th.
Stay tuned as we gather more on this situation.
– Jadon Haselwood Books His Tickets: As I previously noted, UGA commit and 2019 WR, Jadon Haselwood (Ellenwood, GA) was hoping to visit OU for the Texas Tech game. But the timing of the game was a concern due to Haselwood having a game on Friday night.
The schedule worked out.
Haselwood’s father and Chicksasha (OK) native texted me earlier this evening saying, “We are ready and booked for October 28th. Boomer! Coming back to the motherland!” – (Brandon)
– Tavion Thomas: A friend on the Alabama side tells me that their staff is very interested in Tavion Thomas. They offered Thomas when he went down to Tuscaloosa on a visit back in the spring. But they do a second evaluation after senior film has become available.
I’m told that they have narrowed their search for their 2018 RB down to Asa Martin (Auburn commit), Chris Curry (LSU commit), Devin Brumfield (Texas Tech commit…kid’s a legit LB too) and Tavion Thomas.
Source said that when Thomas committed to Oklahoma he went completely quiet on the Alabama staff.
I say all this to say very simply, Saban and co. rarely miss on running backs. They are very patient and it tends to pay off. They’ve gotten guys like Mark Ingram and Joshua Jacobs late. OU needs another influx of skill position talent and this only strengthens my sense that OU may be getting that boost with Tavion Thomas.
A little taste of some of his senior film… – (Super K)
