The Football Brainiacs

– Possible BOOM Watch: They say two is better than one. Well, that goes with everything, including recruiting. Lincoln Riley looks to be off to a POSSIBLE hot start here in just a little over 24 hours after being named the head coach at Oklahoma. I can’t delve into a lot of details, but from talking with multiple sources, there seems to be a very real possibility that the Sooners will get two – that’s right, TWO – BOOMS in the next week or so (remember to be patient). The BOOMS will be on both sides of the ball, so this could be a huge start for the young head coach as he replaces the legend Bob Stoops.

While we have been told that a BOOM could happen as early as tonight, I do want to add that I wouldn’t be holding your breath all night. The mentioned BOOMS may not pull the trigger just yet, but I do want you all to know there are some guys really, really close to becoming Sooners. Stay tuned TFB’ers. – (Brandon)

– Ronnie Perkins: Another note that we were hoping to get out tonight is the fact 2018 St. Louis (MO) DE, Ronnie Perkins, has told TFB that he will be visiting OU on June 17. Perkins is really close with the Oklahoma staff and continues be one to watch going forward.  A source close to Perkins’ recruitment told me that Oklahoma is one to watch and, even with the transition of head coaches, with the majority of the Sooners staff still intact, Perkins has OU very, very high on his list. Super K (who is under the weather) will have more later, but I just wanted to get that bit of info out to you all. – (Brandon)
