Kalon Gervin: I am told that former ND DB commit, Kalon Gervin (Detroit, MI) is expected to visit OU this June. I’m working on confirming a date with Gervin but this visit could set the Sooners up to win a commitment from the talented DB. Gervin had informed me back when he was committed to Notre Dame that OU was a school he absolutely wanted to visit. I should have more on him later… – (Super K)

2019 Running Backs Visiting: The Sooners have already landed their top running back target in the 2018 class and though they’re looking to add another they’re also getting a jump on the 2019 class. Two names to remember are Noah Cain (IMG Academy) and Isaiah Spiller (Spring, TX).

Cain has already visited OU but we are told that a return trip is in the works. Spiller is a TAMU legacy but also plans on visiting Norman this summer.

Cain seems like a guy the Sooners are really making an impression on. He said he doesn’t have an exact return visit date scheduled but he should have one soon. He also added that his teammate, TJ Pledger, “is always talking about the Sooners to me”.

While Cain already holds an offer, Spiller hasn’t picked one up yet but it sounds like it’s just a matter of time, “he (coach Boulware) said they are going to offer me real soon”. Spiller said coach Boulware has already been by his school twice and invited him and his father to the Sooners BBQ later this summer. Spiller said that he and his father will attend the BBQ.

I asked Spiller it was a forgone conclusion he’d end up at his father’s alma mater (TAMU) to which he said, “Naw, I’m not set on A&M. I’m still open because it’s too early to decide right now. I was an AP (AKA AD) fan growing up so I always liked and watched OU”. – (Brandon)

Carl Williams | New DT visiting: Last week coach Thibs stopped by to see 2019 DT, Carl Williams (Lufkin, TX) an extended an offer to the big man…

I spoke with Carl after the offer and he let me know that he plans on being at the OU elite camp next Wednesday. Williams tells me he grew up an OU fan and added that former Sooner DT, Jamarkus McFarland who also hails from Lufkin, TX, is still a well known name in the area. – (Brandon)
