Searching for Defensive Linemen: The Sooners are still in need of some defensive line help. I spoke to a source who tells me some help may be on the way in the form of a couple of JUCO prospects:

Matthew Leo – Sooners hosted JUCO DL, Matthew Leo this past weekend.

I am told that the Sooner staff feels good about where they stand with Leo and is confident they’ll land the current Arizona commit.

Lee Autry: I am also told that the OU staff feels good about interior JUCO DL and recent visitor, Lee Autry. Autry is currently committed to Mississippi State. The issue that could arise with Leo and Autry potentially wanting to jump on the SoonerSquad17 ship is that they are both mid-year guys and OU has a number of young mid-year guys. It’s starting to feel like there could be a problem in terms of the mid-year numbers but I’ll be checking on this. – (Super K)

High School Defensive Line Targets: If the Sooners are able to win and take the commitments of both Leo and Autry that should ease some of the defensive line concerns and allow them to work on one or two high school recruits then turn their attention to 2018.

Marvin Wilson: Ship has sailed.

Joshua Paschal: 247sports lists him as a Kentucky commit and all signs point to him ending up there.

Taquon Graham: Source close to Graham tells me that Graham will have a busy January. He is expected to take official visit to TCU, Oklahoma, Texas and Michigan.

In-State Offers: The Sooners did recently offer two in-state defensive linemen in Tyreece Lott and Reese Leitao. Lott visited TCU last weekend and I’m told the visit went really well. He’s been on campus to visit OU quite a bit already so we will see if he takes a return trip in January. Leitao took a trip to Texas last weekend. Before that trip I was told Leitao was leaning towards TCU but out of TCU, OU and Texas, I’m told Texas is the only school that has offered him as a TE which is his preferred position. – (Super K)
