– Lincoln Riley: Sooners OC, Lincoln Riley has been mentioned as a candidate for the Oregon and Houston HC positions. USF HC, Willy Taggart has been hired for the Oregon job so now we all wait to see what happens with the Houston HC position. Not surprisingly, Lincoln Riley reportedly impressed in the Houston interview.
If offered the job, the question will be whether the Sooners can sweeten the pot enough to hold on to him. – (Super K)
– Marquise Brown: Recent Sooners visitor and JUCO WR, Marquise Brown will announce his decision next week…

– Levi Jones: As we previously noted, Sooner linebacker coach Tim Kish was set to visit 2017 Austin (Westlake HS) Texas linebacker Levi Jones yesterday. For quite sometime Oklahoma has felt like they were one of Jones top schools. After the visit Jones told me that the visit was great and that Kish got to stop by the school and spend time with him and the coaches. Jones family was out of town, so the in-home will be at a later date, but the Sooners wanted to make sure that Jones knew how high of priority he is for them.

Those close to the situation say that Oklahoma still feels that they are in his top 3. That is a big deal because last week Jones told us that, due to time lost during playoffs, he will only be taking three official visits. I do expect Jones to take an official visit to OU at some point before signing day. Those talks are in the works and if this visit does happen, TFB will let you know. – (Brandon)
– More on James Robinson: 2017 star Lakeland, Florida wide receiver had an in home with Sooners wide receiver coach Dennis Simmons last night and from what TFB was told, that visit went as well as it possibly could have gone. With Robinson not announcing till national signing day Oklahoma has time to continue and build a relationship and try and show Robinson how he will fit in their scheme. Robinson still hasn’t set up any other official visits (he visited OU this past weekend). Robinson is a priority for the Sooners since it looks more and more like OU is on the outside looking in for Joseph Lewis at the moment.
One source close to Robinson seems to think the Sooners have a very real shot at landing him. – (Brandon)
– Charleston Rambo: Yesterday 2017 Cedar Hill, Texas wide receiver was visited by University of Texas. I know a lot of OU fans are worried about the Texas offer, but as I’ve previously mentioned, based on what Rambo has told me the Sooners seem to be ok here.
Rambo’s family has a very good relationship with Sooners wide receiver coach Dennis Simmons. Additionally, Rambo’s wide receiver trainer, Margin Hooks played with Simmons at BYU. Lastly, when I asked Rambo, again, if he was going to visit Texas he said that he is not taking an official and is solid to Oklahoma.
We will continue to watch this but things seem fine at the moment. – (Brandon)
– UPDATE (12:13 pm): Sooners have offered a fast rising in-state DL.
