Steven Parker Note

I spoke to Steven Parker’s father last night. He confirmed that Steven is going to be taking an official visit to Auburn on Jan. 31st. As of now that is the only official that he has set up for the month of January.

Sounds like he just wants to “enjoy the process”. I wouldn’t think there is much of any chance OU would lose Parker to Auburn. I know we are all getting anxious, but trips like this really don’t worry me much.

Anytime a kid takes a trip to an SEC school, it always worries me. I’m still skeptical of all the shadyness that goes on there. May not be true, but their recruiting tactics are beyond suspicious.

I’d still rather him go to Auburn than A&M and see another goshed danged “Yes Sir’ tweet from Mr. Swag with the bad defense.

Yeah, I would rather it be to Auburn than USC, as people were saying how much he liked California from the all star game he got to play and such.

  • Sooner Ray says:

I’m always concerned when recruiting trips are taken but in this case I think Parker is just following through with a plan he has had all along. I’m still confident he will be a Sooner when signing day arrives.

  • Brian says:

Did y’all talk OU at all? Or is OU already a foregone conclusion with Steven and he’s just taking trips?

    • Super K says:

Auburn wanted a chance to make their pitch so Steven agreed to the trip but we feel good about OU.

Auburn seems to be the “it” school” right now. And Malzahn is the “it” coach. Maybe Gus will go to the Vikings or Browns.

With Coach Mike back, i don’t worry about dbs, recruiting or on the field. Look at the mans record in developing the back end. How many Thorpe winners does he have under his belt? Its simple, if you want to be the best, go play for the best. This defense is going to be very special, who wants to be part of it?

  • Gladdman says:

Do you know if OU has told him he could play both ways?
