The Sooners have landed 2017 linebacker, Jacob Phillips (Nashville, TN). Phillips was considering programs like Alabama, Oregon, Texas A&M and others. However, it was clear when Phillips made his first visit to Norman last spring that he had a special connection with the Sooners.

This is obviously a great pick up for the Sooners at a position of need, especially given the recent loss of Tay Evans and the upcoming departure of Jordan Evans.
