– Chevin Calloway: Have heard 2017 CB and Iowa commit, Chevin Calloway may be visiting Oklahoma this weekend for the Kansas State game. I spoke to Calloway’s coach who said that he wasn’t certain yet if the visit will happen but it certainly sounds like it’s a real possibility. – (Super K)
– Jacob Phillips: Yesterday, I tweeted the following…

Phillips has set his announcement for 2:30pm on Wednesday (tomorrow). There is a race for all schools involved to get that final word in before he announces his final decision on what school he will attend. Speaking to sources, and confirmed through Phillips himself, the star LB was set to speak with Alabama head coach Nick Saban and Oklahoma’s head man, Bob Stoops last night. TFB has yet to get word on how those conversations went, but we will definitely be checking around for more information.
One thing TFB does know, is that Oklahoma’s staff felt really good about things going into his conversation with Stoops last night. That held true even after the visit to College Station. I know K has spoken with people around A&M and they feel good about their chances, as well.
This is a tough one to read. I, personally, still feel it is Oklahoma. They have been the one constant and were the definitive leader for some time before the Phillips started taking visits. The feeling is that Phillips, himself, wants OU, but that parents want him in SEC. That’s not to say that family doesn’t want him to play at OU, or they are against the idea. It is just that they like idea of him playing in that conference.
Again, we will continue to check on this situation but either way, a little over 24 hours from now the Sooners will know their fate. – (Brandon)
– James Robinson IV: Sooners already have a talented 2017 WR class. They do have room to take one more if it is the right guy, however. There, arguably, isn’t a more talented WR left on the board than 2017 Lakeland, Florida wide receiver, James Robinson IV.
TFB chatted with Robinson last night and he was set visit to Oklahoma for the Kansas State game this weekend, but that visit had to be cancelled. I asked Robinson if a visit was rescheduled and he said, “ Not yet, but I will visit real soon”. Also, as we reported a couple of months ago, Oklahoma is also slated to host star California WR Joseph Lewis for the Baylor game. – (Brandon)
