K’Lavon Chaisson: Sooners coaches are back out on the road and the staff at North Shore tells me that the Sooners will be in Houston tonight to watch 2017 OLB/DE, K’Lavon Chaisson. Chaisson was expected to be in Norman this past weekend but was unable to attend. However, this visit to see K’Lavon is a pretty clear indication that Oklahoma wants to land the 6’3 pass rusher. – (Super K)

Team News | Rotation: Oklahoma continues to search for a second cornerback they can comfortably rely on. I spoke to a couple sources yesterday regarding how that search is going. I was told that, “everyone is getting a look…everyone”.

The source mentioned that even freshman Jordan Parker, who so far has been on scout team, has been pulled up to take reps. I was told that Parrish Cobb has been a little dinged up so that is creating the opportunity for more reps in general but there is no doubt the staff is willing to do anything and search anywhere for an answer to the cornerback dilemma. – (Super K)

Kamren Curl: I spoke with the father of 2017 DB, Kamren Curl (Muskogee, OK) who tells me that the Sooners have reached out to Kamren. The father tells me that Oklahoma let Kamren know that there is some interest and that they want to get to know him better. I’m told the Sooners were expected to speak to Curl yesterday though I have not checked to confirm if that conversation happened.

I did check with a source on the Oklahoma side and was told that they are intrigued by the big athletic in-state DB but they’d like to see him play live. Coach Kish visited Curl last spring.

If you haven’t had a chance to to look at Kamren’s jr. film, it’s certainly worth a look. Should note that at the Dallas Nike Combine, Curl had some impressive SPARQ verified numbers. He measured in at 6’2 and ran a 4.56 laser-timed 40. He also jumped over 36 inches to go along with a 4.15 shuttle which shows great explosion and COD for a defensive back that tall. – (Super K)

Jospeh Lewis: Per Greg Biggins of Scout.com 2017 WR, Joseph Lewis will visit Oklahoma. In an interview with Biggins, Lewis mentioned he will take official visits to Arizona, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Oregon and Alabama.

Lewis told Biggins he will visit for the Baylor game and added that he had visited Oklahoma once before during his sophomore year. Something to keep an eye, especially with USC struggling. – (Super K)
