What an amazing year. With all of our injuries and not even knowing which QB would play we still beat the team who was arguably the best in the country. Aside from 2000 this might be the best coaching job Stoops has done. It’s obvious he hired some great assistants, especially Bedenbaugh and Montgomery

So proud of everyone! Everyone had a key play that contributed to this win. I’m only 18 and do not remember 2000, only every other bowl game after that. So this is the biggest OU Bowl game win I’ve ever seen and I love the direction we are heading! BOOMER!

Got off work at 10(tho was watching Gamecast and getting text updates from my brother) and I must say Josh Heupel had a great game plan and called it. Hats off to you sir, please keep it going.
A buddy of mine posted a video dogging on Heupel’s play calling at the goal line vs. Baylor. Could not believe a Sooner fan would post that the morning of the game. Told him he had to have his Sooner fandom revoked. SMH
I have had some disagreement with plenty of Josh Heupel’s game plans in the past, and how he has quickly went 4-5 wide the second a run play does not work out(no way a defense can make a play). Tonight’s game plan worked toward the Sooner’s strength, and even when things got spooky, he didn’t throw his hands up in the air and start calling plays out of a hat. I hope he continues on the road to calling an offense his players are best suited for, and not what he was suited for.
Well hell, maybe I should listen to my heart now and then!!! Players made plays, coaches, coached their butts off and OU didn’t back down. MVP the coaches and the rest of the team.

More pride in our program: What a difference between the stuff Stoops says after a horrible loss and the way Saban handles it. Stoops deals with the facts of the game, but Saban questions the character and heart of his players. May we never see that here.

I predicted OU winning 34-27, so I was wrong…about the score. Not very many people other than Sooner fans thought OU was going to win. Not even one of the NewsOK columnists thought OU was going to win. Bama has a darn good team. Great win for OU.
Ha ha…Hey, at least you had the Sooners on the right side of winning. Will be hard for me to doubt this team ever again. Never really doubted them, just worried Bama’s depth and physicality would wear them down. Henry nearly did that…..Wow! That kid’s gonna be something special.
Let’s talk about the unsung guys. ST. The returners handled the ball well. Moneycutt. Yeah, he didn’t have to do much, but hitting a long FG to tie things in the first was big. If he had missed it would have given Bama great field position and all the momentum. Clay. I can’t say enough about him. He won’t be remembered for stats, but he gets yards when yards are needed. He did it again today. The nutritionist. She has been huge all year. It’s not a coincidence that the defense was able to stay fresh all game. That is her. No one thinks about it, but she may have been the best off-season hire that Stoops made.
We threw some personnel groupings and formations at Alabama that we hadn’t used before, but more importantly, Bob Stoops as an underdog is a FORCE. He becomes the predator instead of the prey.
