    Boomer.
Great day to be a Sooner.
Wonder what my Auburn buddies will have to say.

I live in North Alabama and all I heard at the driving range yesterday was the great Auburn Women’s softball victory. I did point out that they would have to face page in the finals.

    Go OU.

    • DR LEO MARVIN says:

      SOONER

    • SoonerMagic76 says:

      Sooner!

    • SoonerMagic76 says:

I hope you casually, and thoughtfully, remind them today how great it is to be a Sooner, and to not have any orange in your team colors

      • jimintexas says:

Not having to wear orange is just one of those added blessings of being a Sooner

      • RocketCitySooner says:

I do remind them from time to time about how great it is to beat Alabama. They don’t have a lot of experience in doing that.

    • BleedCrimson says:

      Sooner!

    • Mark_in_VA says:

I suspect the range is going to have the sounds of the ball whacking off the driver and not much else today. That is, unless you bring a boom box that you casually turn on after a while that belts out BOOMER SOONER for about 30 minutes!

      • RocketCitySooner says:

I’ve got a red/white golf cart with the Sooner Schooner on the front.

I do look forward to reminding them that Paige is only a sophomore. Our rooster had eight freshmen and four sophomores and our recruiting class is tops.

    • soonerthunder says:

the perfect (obvious) reply, and also I seriously doubt Parker would have lost a game with a 7 run lead the night before no matter how tired she was. Say hello to all your Auburn “buddies” (make better friends)

  • Sooner Ray says:

A better than usual day to be a Sooner!

  • SoonerMagic76 says:

    Awesome job last night ladies!!!!

    BOOMER!!!!!!!

  • Sooner Ray says:

That 3-D stadium model is pretty cool.

    • SoonerMagic76 says:

Yeah that’s pretty darn slick. I went under the 3D plane by accident (basically looking at the stadium from underground); it was crazy

  • Dick Bump says:

Great softball game. I don’t normally watch softball that much, but the Sooners got me hooked through the regionals to WCWS. Great season.

    • BleedCrimson says:

Easy to like this team. Great but of kids!

      • metzker says:

        Whos but?

      • SamSooner says:

I’ve always followed women’s softball: I’m from a town where we had a team win multiple state and national championships.

The fact that the OU ladies are awesome, it’s easy to watch.

        • BleedCrimson says:

I fell in love with Sooner Softball during the 2000 season. A friends daughter was on the team. Erin Evans ended up AA as a frosh. Went to a bunch of games that season. Was Awesome to watch them bring home the Natty that year.

          • SamSooner says:

            How are you today, BC?

          • BleedCrimson says:

Good Sam. Head is swimming just a bit today. During all the excitement last night, I am pretty sure the liquid refreshments were flowing. Didn’t notice last night, definitely noticed this morning.
Hope all is well in yOUr neck of the woods.

          • SamSooner says:

            ‘Tis fine here.

        • cush creekmont says:

Sam – great job cheering on the Gasso Gang. I read the thread AFTER I watched my DVR. I wore out the edge of my chair nursing that one run lead. But, NOW it is in the trophy case – and with Frosh and Soph stars, can we dream of dynasty?

          • SamSooner says:

I agree with you Cush. I think we will see the same thing with the football team. There’s a lot of talent on both squads.

          • Stephen Dale says:

Injuries , bad bounces, marriage, etc often change the fortunes of any program but OU has some serious talent and more is on the way….’dynasty’ used to mean 3-4-5 straight titles. In today’s world of diversity , there are many quality teams. And the margin between victory and defeat is razor thin… who know ? maybe OU can string together a couple or three….this team has a chance to stay together and accomplish it…..its great to be a Sooner fan this morning.

          • Stephen Dale says:

        • Stephen Dale says:

what a terrific performance by OU after losing gm #2…..too bad funds supposedly can’t be found to improve the softball complex and/or add additional seating while the interest is so great now…..Gasso and her staff deserve a better facility. Whatever money has been set aside for baseball should be directed to softball instead….

  • jimintexas says:

Good morning everyone! Another great day to be a SOONER!!!!

  • Dick Bump says:

I guess Manyang hasn’t figured out if you do stuff, people will notice when you’re 7 foot tall. What a waste.

    • SoonerMagic76 says:

It certainly is more difficult to get away with anything at that height

    • Mark_in_VA says:

I think something snapped in him after his brother. I don’t recall seeing anything about him having a history of illegal activity. I can’t believe Kruger would have recruited him if he did. The guy must be really hurting right now, but he’s definitely crossed the line. I hope he gets some serious intervention, and fast.

      • Ed Cotter says:

Spot on Mark. Hopefully he gets the help he needs, he’s going down a dark path right now.

      • cheezyq says:

This is kind of what I was thinking too. Normally I’d just be annoyed – usually these guys are just spoiled kids that think they can get away with anything. But I can’t believe that’s the case with AK. I feel bad for the guy.

  • metzker says:

Its 7:59 and texsa SUCKS,BOOMER Morning to all.

  • Lincoln Hawk says:

Not sure if anybody already posted yesterday but I’m pretty sure Creed Humphrey was at OU for the Elite camp yesterday. I’m sure the SS17 was in his ear.

  • SoonerMagic76 says:

Bill Murray is one of the coolest guys out there

  • J.r. Kamm says:

Good morning, all. Like everyday, isn’t it a great day to be a SOONER?!?!? Congrats, lady Sooners on bringing the NC home last night!!

  • Walter Sobcek says:

OUtstanding accomplishment by the softballers! The gals showed the guys how to close!

  • LottsSocks says:

Think Soonersports.com wants to make an emphasis about Carosene’s hubris?

Auburn’s Emily Carosone, the star of Tuesday’s comeback win with a grand slam in the bottom of the eighth, couldn’t follow it up.

In the bottom of the first, she committed an error on a grounder by Shay Knighten, and Caleigh Clifton scored for the Sooners (57-8) when Carosone lost control of a throw to first.

Auburn (58-12) loaded the bases with no outs in the third, but Parker struck out Carosone

    .

Carosone went 0 for 3 with two strikeouts and two errors.

  • Defend Colfax says:

    From ESPN:

Oklahoma beat Auburn 2-1 on Wednesday in Oklahoma City to win the Women’s College World Series. Here are 10 facts about the Sooners’ title run.

    1. This is the third NCAA softball national championship in Oklahoma history. The Sooners won the national title in 2000 and 2013.

    2. Only two schools, UCLA (11) and Arizona (8), have won more NCAA national titles than Oklahoma.

    3. Eight players on the Sooners’ roster — including WCWS breakout stars Shay Knighten and Sydney Romero — are freshmen.

    4. Four players on the Sooners’ roster — including ace Paige Parker — are sophomores.

    5. Oklahoma went 9-1 against SEC teams in 2016.

    6. Oklahoma is 22-15 all time in the Women’s College World Series, which puts the Sooners fifth in NCAA history in wins.

    7. Oklahoma outscored its opponents 63-33 in the NCAA tournament.

    8. Oklahoma started its national championship season with an 0-2 record and finished with a 57-8 record.

    9. Oklahoma had a school-record 31-game win streak snapped in Game 2 of the championship series.

    10. Sooners coach Patty Gasso joined Mike Candrea (Arizona) as the only coaches in NCAA history with three national titles and more than 1,000 wins.

    • ouwooferman says:

You forgot to include we also won the SEC this year. Beat them all.

      • Defend Colfax says:

This team already has legends. We only faced Alabama, Auburn, Tenn, Ole Miss, Ark, and LSU. We beat em all but we didn’t face the entire SEC.

    • SoonerMagic76 says:

Thanks for sharing – awesome facts

    • Oscar says:

For many years this sport only mattered on the west coast. Very happy that has changed!

      • Stephen Dale says:

no kidding !! the sport is mushrooming and the ‘arms race’ to upgrade, build, retro fit better facilities for the ladies –across the country– only points to an increase of interest and participation . ..Besides, its fun to watch!! the fact softball is hopefully brought back to the Olympics for 2020 only adds to its worldwide popularity and offers those leaving college a chance to play into their 30’s and enjoy what they love to do…I truly hope OU will see the need to upgrade its softball facility TODAY and get started allocating money for that purpose……Does the sport lose money ? YES , but, every sport outside football does….these ladies just won another NC…they deserve the best facility OU can provide NOW and into the future…these women have earned this honor and it would be a shame if Boren doesn’t hatch a plan to improve their situation…….

        • soonerinks says:

Agree completely. I have become a huge softball fan and it is now a very close 2nd to college football.

        • J.r. Kamm says:

You act like their field/facilities are crap. I think they’ve done very well with the field.

    • soonerthunder says:

That has to be wrong. the sec is too tough in any sport to dominate 9-1. surely no one can beat the sec at anything 9 out of 10x!

I will say though that I strongly believe it would have been 10-0 if parker had been pitching with a 7 run lead and 4 innings to play. But, throw the sec a bone, they can brag about one of their teams winning a game against a NATIONAL CHAMPION!

      • Boom says:

Throwing down a little thunder this afternoon? I like it.

        • soonerthunder says:

If so, it was just a lucky accident, kind of like how lucky OU is to go 3-0 against Bama in football under Stoops, 2-0 against Tenn, etc. /S I wish OU had sec speed, sec size.

          • Boom says:

No way we could ever compete, just ask SD. How we win is truly an amazing feat, I would call it Sooner magic. Has a ring to it don’t ya think. : )

  • LottsSocks says:

I want our softball team to have a football program they can be proud of :/

    • Birddawg says:

OU football has a bright future ahead.
Baker for two years. Legit Heisman contender.
      SS17,18.. more top talent
      Young Oline/Dline starters growing up
Cooks has been on fire with his secondary
Kish/MStoops are getting early 00’s Backers..
Riley OC with a clear offensive identity
Bedenbaugh has built the nasty Oline he’s been striving for..
Just a few years ago, Bob had to fire people and restart. It took time with those coaches to build their vision
Starting next season, that vision is going to be put on the field with their guys… their scheme. Last year, we overachieved and made the playoffs.
This coming season we are going to underachive and win a natty. That’s how good we can be…
Upper classmen playmakers mixed with young impressive talent growing up and building depth behind it with more young impressive talent.
This program is where it needs to be to win a natty.

  • Ed Cotter says:

And it’s scary to think that softball might get even better with some of the top ranked classes in 2017 and 2018. And some stellar pitching to back up Paige would be fantastic.

  • Framoka says:

Boomer! Out of pocket late yesterday, back this morning to say CONGRATS!! to the Sooners softball team and staff. Way to beat AU and the mighty sec. Next year should be great again.

  • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Well, well, well. Looks like I am going to have to come up with a new trademark catch phrase. Seeing it used all the time now, that is a good thing though. Just let’s you know that my good cheer is working a little. Great season for the Softball team. Congrat’s to them all on not losing focus on the prize.

    • SoonerMagic76 says:

I still enjoy your “great day to be a Sooner, seize the day” posts, don’t you worry

    • Rick says:

Great people are always known for their “catch phrase”. I am confident you have a greatness in you. It may be in business, or your community, you certainly are of a benefit to OUr little community here. You may be the best dad or husband, or just a great person by choice that outside of us no one will have heard of, but touch the lives of everyone around you, that nobody notices, but the effects are felt. yOU may just be around us and remind us that “It’s a great day to be a Sooner”.

      • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Mornin, Rick. When I first came to this board I just got tired of seeing all the negative crap about our beloved SOONER’S. It is amazing the difference that an 11-2 season makes compared to an 8-5 season. Win, lose or draw I love my SOONER’s the same.

        • cush creekmont says:

You’re just too young to know real negative – the program more than the fans – H. Smellybourbon and John Blank turned my dark hair gray.

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

You are correct, even being a young lad back then it was still heartbreaking to watch.

      • metzker says:

        Rick!

    • metzker says:

      47!

      • 47 Straight OU Know says:

metz! Man of few words lately? What gives?

        • metzker says:

Just busy pouring concrete every day this week, starting 3:30 in the morn,so im just tired is all.

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

I feel for ya, just cant quite reach ya. Started back to school Tues. So i feel your pain.

          • metzker says:

            Getting that degree!

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Slowly but roughly goes it. But all I can do is what I can do!

          • metzker says:

In my water boy voice yoooooooo can doooooo itttt

          • J.r. Kamm says:

Keep chugging — I finally got mine at 46.

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Well that give me 5 years and three months then.

          • J.r. Kamm says:

            You got this!

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

There’s really no sweeter feeling than obtaining that piece of paper lol.

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

It is rough working full time and only getting to take one class a semester.

          • BleedCrimson says:

I feel for yOU. I finally got mine while in my 40’s.

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Well, I just got my GED last August so I am trying to get there.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I hear ya man. School in itself is a full time job. I always worked a full schedule and took 3 classes a semester then just took summer classes to make up ground. Gotta do what you gotta do. You’ll get it done 47!

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

That is a lot of juggling. Congrat’s to you!!!

          • SoonerOracle737 says:

I thought people only made donuts at 3:30 am. What gives?

          • metzker says:

737! I had donuts and redbull.

          • SoonerOracle737 says:

Metz! Sounds like a good combo to get the day started off right.

          • Rick says:

Does that combo wire you or give you gas?

          • metzker says:

            Both!!!!!!

          • Rick says:

            Thats what I thought!

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

That combo would give me a heart attack lol

          • metzker says:

Toss in a scoop of NO Explode to.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Now you’re really trying to kill me! Lol.

          • Rick says:

Doing what I do, and keeping somewhat the same hours Metz has, I have to commend his choice of “wake me up”. Mine is a 64 oz. “Bubba Cup” of ice coffee with a touch of milk and splenda, balanced with a sugar free protien bar.

          • SoonerOracle737 says:

I’m sure those two items offset each other health-wise. Kinda like a double Big Mac and Diet Coke – my all time favorite combo.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Lmao. When I was a personal trainer I had a client who claimed she did so well with her diet. I asked what she had and she goes ” I had a veggie pizza instead of the meat lovers” I just sighed and tried to contain my mouth lol.

          • SoonerOracle737 says:

LOL! That’s funny right there. People are (stupid) crazy!

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Almost as good as when I worked at Kohls and a lady returned her Sketchers Shapeups because she hadn’t lost any weight. I asked if she was exercising in them and she said “nope, I just wear them to work and sit at a desk” another example of people being ( stupid ) crazy hahahaha

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I hear ya. I’m awake at 5am everyday (unless I’m hungover) to get my morning workouts in. I usually take amino acids that contain a small energy boost and then I usually follow it up with a cup of coffee. The “bubba” is classic. My dad (who I work for) rolls into work with his Bubba everyday lol. That man runs on 5-7 cups of coffee a day.

    • Scott says:

Hopefully Coach Gasso gets a raise and some stadium renovations.

      • Defend Colfax says:

        +1

      • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Mornin, Scott, A raise would definitley be warranted. As for renovations I believe those funds are already tied up on another project!!

        • Rick says:

Money is still the key, unfortunately I don’t think in OUr girls very best years, and OUr football teams worst years (circa 1990’s) are even remotely close in revenue generating activity.

    • cush creekmont says:

      In your honor, 47:

    • J.r. Kamm says:

Yes, please don’t stop. I apologize.

      • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Mornin, J.r, No apology needed sir. It is all in good spirits, It is nice that I can make someone else feel the same love for our beloved SOONER’s because in the end we are all striving for them to reach the same goal!!

        • J.r. Kamm says:

Keep bringing it, 47!! Like you, I get fed up with the negative pretty quickly. One reason why I rarely even look at any other board anymore.

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

This board is the only form of social media i attempt to be a part of. And yes negativity gets old real quick.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

It’s great to interact with fellow Sooners. Being in Vegas it’s hard to find many Sooner fans let alone any alumni

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Mornin, Vegas. I have family there and in Henderson. And they are Okie’s all the way.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I’m in Henderson! Crazy. Small world I guess lol

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Oh yeah. Anywhere close to the Green Valley Casino?

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

That’s closer to the east side of Henderson and I’m on the west, but even then it’s a 5-7 minute ride up St rose Pkwy.

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Oh yeah. Anywhere close to the Green Valley Casino?

          • Ed Cotter says:

I was in Vegas for the Final Four this year! I was also in Vegas on Halloween when OU played Kansas. Was hanging with some KSU fans at the Westgate. There were plenty of OU fans when I watched the Final Four. LOL.

          • Ed Cotter says:

Vegas_Sooner, you should try to start up an OU group to watch OU games at the Westgate. Can’t wait until August when I go back to put my bet down on OU to win the Natty.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

We actually have a Sooner club of Vegas that I went to one game last year. It was ok. Nothing like the watch parties we had in the DFW area at Plukers in Allen Tx when I lived there. You should take the odds on Baker to win the Heisman.

    • Jake says:

      There’s only 1, 47 Straight OU Know!

  • Roy C says:

I really like the Softball championship hats, anyone know where to get one

  • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Who’s sporting OU gear today?!? I was decked out in OU gear head to toe while at the gym this morning hahahaha. Today I think I’m wearing Crimson socks, my OU cuff links and a crimson Tie to work. Man oh man it’s a great day to be a Sooner. Lord knows what I’d do if we won another football natty lol, I’d probably run up and down the strip butt azz naked hahaha. Jk, that would be weird. Anyways Boomer!

    • SoonerOracle737 says:

Just think of it as an opportunity for creative body paint in crimson and cream.

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

There’s already enough freaks roaming the strip, I’ll let them have all the body paint lol.

    • Bob Edwards says:

Got my on in an office full of Auburn and Alabama fans.

      • soonerthunder says:

Barbarians get to see what cultured people look like. Set a good example for them BE. BTW, I had just got through 2 Cor. 4:16-18 and opened up TFB to see you quote it. Thanks!

  • LandThieve3 says:

Sad to hear about Manyang.. He’s fallen off the deep end since his brother (last living family member) died right before the Elite 8 game. Can’t imagine what he’s going through. Hope he can turn his life around not even for the sake of basketball but for his own well-being.

    • ouwooferman says:

yes, Downward spiral with drinking, risk taking, violent behavior is clearly a cry for help from a youngster who has no coping skills at this point in life. Without family, he is freefalling to disaster. My prayers for him.

    • Rick says:

He needs some help. I really don’t know what can be done for him. I hope and pray, someone in his life can offer the type of help he really needs. He sounds very angry right now.

  • Matt says:

Recruiting is looking up and up 🙂 I’ve said this before but I think it’ll be great for the program if they can get back to a place where guys like Jordan Evans and Dom Alexander with high ceilings but low floors can actually sit out a couple years and develop rather than having to be the starters right away. The Sooners clearly have excellent scouting when you look at all the underrated guys they get playing at a high level. To be an elite program though you need can’t miss guys who can come in and contribute from day one and then you need these diamonds in the rough guys to be able to develop and provide depth down the road. If they can just close on all these guys they’re in good with, the program will be elite again.

  • Matt says:

Did anybody see this stat from last week? Bobby Stoops clearly runs an elite program. He runs one of the 5 programs with 7+ wins every year for the last 15 years. I’m not positive but he may actually be the only head coach with that kind of record also. https://twitter.com/SportSourceA/status/738803535022809092

    • Matt says:

does anyone know of a head coach that could join him in that club? I can’t think of any that have coached at that high of a level that long.

        • Malicong says:

The only current P5 coaches on that list are Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops, Nick Saban, and Gary Patterson who obviously spent a lot of his tenure in a lesser conference. Stoops is also the only current coach on that list that did it entirely at a P5 school. Pretty elite company.
Edit: Bud and Barry are also on that list.

          • ouwooferman says:

Tom Osborn, knute Rockne, Bear Bryant…

          • Malicong says:

I was surprised at the winning % of some of the old guard. Rockne only lost 12 times in his entire college career. Bob is really in elite company for doing it at one school as well, not just at the P5 level. Like I said, no current coaches can match him.

      • BoomCity89 says:

Stoops is in a league of his own. He’s the only active coach that has been at the same Power 5 conference school for 15 or more years with the .750 win% or better. The only other person even close would be Gary Patterson though he just recently made it to a Power 5 conference. BOOMER!

      • rainydaze114 says:

My guess would be Urban Meyer and Frank Beamer. Can’t think of anyone else though…

    • rainydaze114 says:

OU, VT, Boise St off the top of my head… who are the other 2?

    • SoonerfanTU says:

He doesn’t get the credit from OU fans that he deserves. He will be tough to replace when that time comes.

  • CW says:

Anyone have the link for last nights press conference?

  • Bluegrass Sooner says:

After watching the press conferences from last night for both teams I am even more impressed with Coach Gasso. There was a stark difference in how the 2 coaches approached their comments. I was so glad to see and hear Coach Gasso make an effort to congratulate Auburn and compliment them on how good they are at the beginning of her comments, even before talking about her team. I am also so proud that Coach Gasso is representative of the majority of the other coaches at OU. It makes me a proud Sooner to have so many coaches with such high character who are obviously very intent on winning games and growing young men and women into successful upstanding mane and women. BOOMER…

    • John Garner says:

Well said. Very proud to be a Sooner right now. Our coaches set a high standard. (Actually, I’m very proud to be a Sooner every day. Just more so today. The girls and the coaches were truly remarkably. The toughest team and the best pitcher beat the “toughest” conference. Oo-ah!)

    • Oscar says:

Excellent post. I also believe it is important for the Sooner fan base to not fall into the low-brow, hate filled and repulsive behavior in college athletics which has become all too accepted among many schools.

    • DrewChubbs says:

I was able to tell, both in loss and victory, that Coach Gasso did not struggle to give credit to Auburn where it was due. It was very natural, and her body language suggested her sincerity. On the other end of that equation, any praise (for the most part) given by Auburn, and especially Coach M, looked forced to the point that they almost looked annoyed in having to even acknowledge OU. There was a stark contrast in how they confidently predicted they were going to have their way with OU’s pitching staff versus how they praised OU.

That being said, I was impressed, somewhat, by the opening remarks Coach M had last night after the game. He did look like at least respected Coach Gasso and the team he just faced, even if that respect was just earned a few minutes before.

Very well said Bluegrass, and SOONER!!!!!

      Ditto! SOONER!!!

    • roygbell says:

We are all very fortunate to have the kind of leadership we have at OU. From Boren to Joe “C” and the coaches we have an outstanding group. I think the tone of OU athletics is set by Joe. He runs the OU AD as it should be. He is class all the way. Then he hires great high character type coaches.

You just don’t have what we have at OU without great leadership. In winning and losing, OU is the gold standard for doing both with grace and class.

      • Stephen Dale says:

we disagree about the wallflower, Boren , but do agree about JC, for the most part. Boren may not put another nickle in the softball program but he doesn’t mind taking selfies with the softball while they were celebrating…Not a setting, not a situation where he doesn’t like to interject himself into the scene as ‘an important cog’ …

    • Stephen Dale says:

Coach Myers –on ESPN-SEC– gave OU little mention and less credit….He spent much of the post game discussing what is ahead for the Auburn program …maybe that was to be expected, but, he reminded me of Mack Brown in demeanor and attitude…Auburn didn’t get beat–it just ran out of innings. Without 2 errors, Auburn wins 1-0 ” !! mack used to say similar things after his team lost : the opponent didn’t beat us, we ran out of time” ….simply b.s.

  • soonerinks says:

The 2013 OU softball team was the most dominant team I have ever watched but the job that Coach Gasso did this year was just phenomenal. Four freshmen, four sophomores and two seniors just did the unfreakingbelievable last night. So, so proud of these young ladies and their wonderful coaches.

    • John Garner says:

      Couldn’t have said it better.

That team’s future is so bright, you need a welding hood just to look into that future.

    • Stephen Dale says:

no question about that………very impressive OU victory and well deserved, too……both teams were good and I was impressed with the depth of the Auburn pitching staff…OU was the superior defensive team and it paid dividends , both in gm # 1 and gm #3….

From Yahoo Sports – Here’s another member of Baylor’s 2016 recruiting class who no longer wants to be a member of the team.
Tren’Davian Dickson, who enrolled at the school in January, has told the university he wants to transfer. The news of his transfer was first reported by 24/7 Sports.

Dickson was a four-star wide receiver in the class of 2016. He was the No. 24 wide receiver in the country and considered the No. 16 prospect in the state of Texas, according to Rivals.

    • KJ1123 says:

My guess. Baylor isn’t going to release any of them.

      • rainydaze114 says:

I think I read that they were but wouldn’t let him go to a B12 school… I might be wrong about that though.

        • KJ1123 says:

Yeah my opinion is, dont keep these kids, they want to go then let them go. Cleaning house includes players too, not saying any of these kids were in the wrong, but it will take more effort to keep them and convince them that the program is heading in the right direction then to start with new recruits. It may take a few years and this coach may not be around, but it’s gotta happen.

      • jimintexas says:

That is what we are hearing But I do not think any less of Baylor, for this. When you are at the bottom of morality, there isn’t really any place else to go

      • Framoka says:

KJ, I think ultimately they will. It would be a PR nightmare and cause huge attitude problems in the locker to keep players who don’t want to be there. I think Grobe wants to talk to them all individually and make his case to stay.

        • SoonerinLondon says:

I think you are probably right, but PR nightmares haven’t stopped them from doing anything “surprising”, to this point.
