Good morning all! Hope those of you that live in Oklahoma hunkered down and stayed safe last night!
Had to take the family in the shelter last night, it’s been years since we actually had to get in the shelter. No damage so all is well here.

Agreed. Outside of OU fans, I wouldn’t find it all that exciting. It’s great to schedule a service school, but let’s say Michigan State was playing Army at some point next year. I wouldn’t be clearing my schedule to watch it
I agree. It’s interesting for us, but if it is one of the ten most exciting out of conference games over the next seven years at a national level, then nobody is scheduling decent matchups.

It’s 2 historic programs who haven’t played each other in my lifetime, that I can recall (I’m about to turn 44). The service academies may not be college football blue bloods any longer, but they once were, and they are still unique institutions that bring really cool pomp and ceremony to game day. The games very well be blowouts, but the historic nature of the meetings and pregame pageantry will be cool. I’m looking forward to the match ups. My wife and I hope to be able to attend the game at West Point in 2020. In some rare instances, the status of a match up is about more than just the on-field quality of the 2 teams playing. The fact that an unaffiliated site puts this game on their list is evidence of this fact.
I guess I find it more sad than exciting. It’s like watching that once great boxer get in the ring one too many times. Seeing what was once a symbol of strength and manhood get beaten to a bloody pulp just doesn’t excite me.

Any of the service academies is a great game to schedule IMO.

I’m excited about it, but more about the game at West Point. That will be amazing. It will rank with South Bend and Rocky Top on the “must see” OU road game list.

So I checked the new ESPN300 rankings and OU has 8 ESPN300 commits with two 4 stars and two unranked kids. I believe some of our commits should of been ranked a lot higher than their rankings. This just puts a bigger edge on our commits to prove these ESPN scouts wrong.
