Wide Receiver Recruiting: With the recent commitments of Jalen Reagor and Charleston Rambo, the wide receiver spots in OU’s 2017 class are beginning to fill up. We’ve been told OU isn’t quite certain at this point what they are going to do in terms of who or how many more receiving targets they plan to take. With that in mind, let’s look at a few prospects on their board.

* Ceedee Lamb: I bring up Lamb because despite being an Oklahoma commit, he has strong ties to LSU. Lamb is originally from Louisiana and grew up an LSU fan. However, he remains committed to Oklahoma despite an offer from the Tigers. I caught up with Lamb last week, who said he is planning to visit LSU on April 16th for their spring game. If that visit does indeed happen, then I suspect the Sooners will know their fate one way or another shortly after. – (Super K)

* Jhamon Ausbon: In case you missed it yesterday, Brandon reported that 2017 WR and Baylor commit Jhamon Ausbon is set to visit Oklahoma tomorrow.

It’s too early to tell the degree of interest Ausbon has in OU or vice versa, but a visit certainly indicates there is at least some. – (Brandon)

* Hunter Rison: 2017 WR Hunter Rison (Ann Arbor, MI) is set to visit OU next week. Rison recently said that he plans to announce his commitment on April 10th. There is a lot of buzz around the idea that Rison is Oklahoma’s to lose right now. However, with things moving very fast the question will be whether a spot will still be available on the 10th? – (Super K)

* Omar Manning: 2017 WR Omar Manning trains with recent OU commits, Jalen Reagor and Charleston Rambo and again here, the word we are hearing is that Manning is considering a commitment to the Sooners as well. It should come as no surprise that he has a lot of people around him encouraging him to commit to the crimson and cream. – (Super K & Brandon)

– Grant Calcaterra: 2017 TE Grant Calcaterra (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) recently visited Oklahoma, and we’ve been told that appears to have further pushed things in OU’s favor. Publicly, Calcaterra has indicated he may wait a while longer before committing. However there is some word behind the scenes that if the Sooners are indeed the choice, he may wind up announcing sooner rather than later.

Addison Gumbs: TFB recently reported that 2017 OLB Addison Gumbs (Hayward, CA) was planning to be in Norman over the weekend, but since that report there has been a chance of plans. Gumbs is now planning to visit Texas A&M over the weekend and then make the trip up to be in Norman on Monday, April 4th. – (Super K)

excellent. Super K is CeeDee the best WR the Sooners have committed/on their board at the moment?

I would much rather be turning kids down than scrambling on signing day.

manning and rison will be sooners imo

  • BoomerDave says:

IMO, it’s hard to consider Rambo a commit. When, in your commitment tweet, you say that you will be taking your official visits and more unofficial visits, it smells like he was just reserving his spot and I hope our coaches treat it as such. It was like he was signaling all of the other schools ” Hey, I’m not really all that committed! Please keep recruiting me!”

    • KJ1123 says:

      Agree.

    • ccmosaic says:

This is just how it works today. There are hard commitments and soft commitments. Until the NCAA allows for an early signing period this is what we can expect for the future as well.
You treat him as committed and continue to recruit the position. Just the way things are today.

    • bommer85 says:

I agree. BUT the good news is, we have plenty of talented WR interested unlike the previous couple of years

    • Jim Casy says:

Well, it says up above we are hosting the Baylor WR commit tomorrow so it looks like the coaches are still going….plus that sudden big push for Omar.

    • SoonerOracle737 says:

I think the peer pressure of the group of 17 will help us keep those on the edge of flips. But flips happen every year to most all teams, so it is what it is. Just hope the guys can apply the peer pressure to minimize any last-second damage.

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Couldn’t agree more. The relationships they have already begun to form with each other will hopefully be too much for them to walk away from.

    • OUZach says:

Coaches should never stop recruiting a position just because it is “full” and I doubt our coaches have stopped the WR recruiting this year.

    • hOUligan says:

Yea. I don’t blame a kid for wanting to take his visits. And seems like he and maybe a few others are just ‘saving their spot’. But a ‘commit’ tweet where you also say you are taking your other visits is reminiscent of C. Daniels announcing he will be taking other visits while cutting his birthday/OU cake. His commit lasted about as long as his cake.

  • Jim Casy says:

No disrespect to Hatari Byrd, but will his scholly be available for 2017 class?

  • HardTarget says:

Ausborn should be the priority over every single other kid mentioned in the OP.

    • bommer85 says:

Agree. He’s the highest rated, opens the door to IMG in Florida and we take one away from Baylor. WIN/WIN/WIN

  • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

This is my first post on TFB and I would like to thank the ENTIRE TFB staff for the quality and quantity of information provided to us addicts. I’ve been what most of y’all would like to call a lurker ? For almost two years now (WOW). I’m beyond excited to see the staff putting in such a unified effort into landing this exceptional talent.

I’m wondering how the commitments from the two receivers this weekend will factor into risons decision. I personally would rather have him than reagor, but I’m certainly not upset at the fact we have reagor. I’m scrapping my diet and having said that, I’m ready for some beefy Dline commits to get this class really rolling. Anyways, Boomer!!!!!

    • SoonerOracle737 says:

      Sooner!!! And welcome to TFB.

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

thanks dude. I’ve been reading for so long I felt obligated to eventually comment lol. There’s not exactly the largest amount of Sooner fans out here in Vegas and I don’t think talking to myself about OU football will do me any good haha.

        • Jim Casy says:

Need to get that Bishop Gorman pipeline going.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I’ve got a client who’s son is a freshman LT (6’4″ 269) at Gorman and for the kids birthday I actually got him a lane Johnson signed helmet! Lol. Who knows what will happen with the kid. But on a more serious note. The Gorman pipeline needs to be re established for sure. I’m not sure why we stopped going to them? Was it a former assistant that had the recruiting ties or what?

          • Dick Bump says:

I think a coach at Gorman was hired by OU a few years ago, but is no longer on the staff. That may be part of it, but I’m not sure.

          • BoomerDave says:

He wasn’t hired, as I recall. He came in as a GA.

          • Dick Bump says:

            That sounds right.

        • SoonerOracle737 says:

You certainly deserve a participation trophy. Congrats!

    • KJ1123 says:

Welcome to the fold Vegas….and I too am ready for some D-Line action.

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I’m enjoying the hand we’ve all been dealt as far as this 17 class goes. Thanks!

    • Boom says:

      Glad to have ya.

    • Super K says:

Thanks for the kind words! Tough to say how it will effect Rison but it may speed his timeline up a bit.

      • Boom says:

Do you know if there is any interest in Shavers?

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I’m just hoping the number of receivers doesn’t scare him off, but then again if he’s scared of competition then I don’t really want him in Crimson and cream. I was very pleased when reading the notes y’all posted yesterday regarding AD. The kid is massive and still could add 8-12 lbs of muscle.

      • OUgrad82 says:

Super K – I heard from friend that there is a stud running back that will be a sophomore at PCO next fall. I do not know his name. You would not know anything about him or if anyone is watching him?

    • Fear The Magic says:

Welcome aboard but have you seen Reagors hudl?? The kid is explosive.
Im happy with all of our WR commits but none more than him.

      • paganpink says:

I completely agree! I may not be an expert recruiter but he looks simply amazing on film. He looks like a five star receiver that is almost unstoppable- and there’s a lot of film of him doing the same things to a lot of different people. The kid simply looks GREAT!

        • Fear The Magic says:

Plus his offer list is the best of all of our WR commits.

        • hOUligan says:

Agree. Watching all the film, Reagor stood out to me as not just fast, but elusive. Great slot guy. Really want Reagor fully ‘in’ and a vocal member of SoonerSquad17.

          • metzker says:

Well hes no smoke patterson tho.

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I honestly thought I had read somewhere that rison was above 6′. Since both are about the same size I would prefer the quicker, more twitchy receiver in Reagor.

      • hOUligan says:

I really think Reagor is under-valued, at this point, and expect him to climb the rankings his SR year. Of the film I’ve watched of the OU recruits, I like his best, too.

        • Bob Edwards says:

In general, the recruiting sites probably underrate the slot type receivers. They tend to prefer the tall ‘pro’ type receivers that teams like Bama wants.

    • cush creekmont says:

Welcome! Best OU information around. Many of us have been with paid sites and found our way here. Since you’ve been a “dreaded lurker” for this long, you know the great staff and all the posting “players.”

There are some western state TFBers, but we’d all be pleased to hear any interesting “news” from Sin City.

Welcome, brother. I, myself, was a Vegas Sooner at one time.

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

The heat finally got to you, huh? Lol. What part of of the valley?

        • Dustin says:

North Vegas. Between Craig and Lone Mountain. Worked at the Fiesta Rancho.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I’m in the south west part. It probably wasn’t too developed when you lived here but not it’s pretty Heavily populated. I grew up in north Texas fell in love with OU football, didn’t get accepted to any of the major business programs I applied to so I chose Oklahoma. Ive been in Vegas for 3 years and I love it here.

          • Dustin says:

I left there five years ago. Been dying to go back for vacation.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

My bachelor pad has turned into the holiday inn. I’m constantly getting emails and texts asking if they can crash at my place. You should visit soon. Although, there hasn’t been that much change except for the night club scene. I’m not sure you’re into that kind of thing lol.

          • Dustin says:

I’ve never been into clubbing. I’m more of a poker and beer kinda guy. Got kicked out of the Rio one time. That was fun.

  • C.A. says:

Yeah I don’t think Lamb is as solid on his commitment as the others are.

  • metzker says:

    31ST see yall this afternoon————-

  • Randy says:

2 skill guys I am hoping OU takes a look at are WR Gavin Holmes (best route runner on film) and RB Lazarus Fisher (perfect fit for offense run pass game)

    • Stacy Fisher says:

Lil fyi Im Lazarus brother and Lazarus was Born in Oklahoma and would Love to come home and play for the Sooners…

      • Randy says:

Love his film, seems to be perfect for the OU offense. A little undersized for RB maybe but makes up with the speed. Could even be a slot WR. Why do you think the lack of interest from schools ?

        • Stacy Fisher says:

Its hard to wrap my head around it. Because he has out performed many running backs at the nike camp this past spring. If i had to take a guess at it, maybe because his teams missed the playoffs the last 2 seasons. How did you come about him Randy?

          • Randy says:

Seems that way, but also seems to be a lot of talented RBs not only in Texas. Heck, there was Josh Jacobs in Tulsa that had no offers until Jan ’16 then signed with Bama in Feb. So hopefully he gets the same chance. Tell him to keep at it. Classwork, filmwork he will get his chance. The Nike camp ratings then the film pretty easy to see.. lol

        • Stacy Fisher says:

To me it could be that his team hasnt made playoffs his 1st 2 yrs. Or that they dont know much about him. He just left Stoops camp in June so hes doing all that he can to let them know he is interested in joining the family..

          • Randy says:

Could be, but if he has a good SR yr regardless of what the team does he will get his name out more. But I am surprised he does not have at least looks from Tulsa, Arkansas State right now. It will happen.

          • Stacy Fisher says:

True that. I believe once the schools see more of what he can do it will be some schools interested. He plans to be out returner punts to go along with his kick returns, that is if teams kick to him

          • Randy says:

That can only help, programs all programs like versatility…

          • Stacy Fisher says:

Randy you mind me asking, how did you learn about Lazarus?

          • Randy says:

Followed the Nike Opening online, then seen his ratings. Then watched his film.

          • Stacy Fisher says:

Thats sweet. Ill be sure to let him know that. It helps when a athlete gets noticed for his effort during the off season. This was his first full off season since he decided to no longer play bball I can see the growth , not only physicslly but mentally as well

          • Stacy Fisher says:

Hey Randy Lazarus told me to tell you thanks for following his highlights and he also said “if only you were the Coach lol” when I told him you liked his film

          • Randy says:

lol.. no, no coach at all. No problem. Got to get his film out there more, can only help. I sent it via Twitter to a recruiting guy that I like to read he liked it as well, hopefully you hear something from him sometime.

          • Stacy Fisher says:

Thanks Randy hey tell your guy he is on 247 sports, ncsa, scouts, he out there. Gonna be steal for whoever grabs him. He got a few offers so far

          • Randy says:

Does he have a Twitter ? What offense does he think he fits in best with ?

          • Stacy Fisher says:

Hey its under Chance Fisher they run zone read so any offense wanting to play fast he likes that

          • Randy says:

Ok, great. lol. I will do what I can, love to see kids get a chance.

          • Stacy Fisher says:

Yes friends and family call him Chance that’s his middle name that might be part of the mystery Lazarus or Chance lol is the same person

          • Randy says:

Yeah, I think it is part of it. I had trouble finding him and I was looking.

          • Stacy Fisher says:

Or try 24 savage it should pull him up as chancethetruth

          • Randy says:

            oh ok. found it.

          • Stacy Fisher says:

Yes he does Chance Fisher and they run zone read and he like to play up tempo so any offense that looks for fast pace he’d fit in

          • Stacy Fisher says:

He is a patient runner BC of his speed I’d say from my conversations he likes to play fast and he and his qb have such good chemistry in the zone read offense. That spread set would work for his skill set

          • Randy says:

How did you find this post.. Are you on TFB much ?

          • Stacy Fisher says:

I stumble across this post by simply google searching Lazarus name. Other wise id not known of this site

          • Randy says:

            Gotcha..

    • Stacy Fisher says:

Here is a clip of Lazarus vs Highland Park, during his Sophomore yr watch on the very first play how he turns a would be negative play into one of the best 4 yard gains.. The kid will fight for every yard!

      • Randy says:

About to read it.. Yeah, I messaged him the other day and told him/them about Lazarus. Didn’t think they would do it that fast.. !

        • Stacy Fisher says:

I just spoke with Chance and he said he went ahead and did it few days ago, but didnt think it was legit going to happen.. Smh kid is way too laid back. Id like to see him stick his chest out and say ” hello world! Im ready.. “

  • Randy says:

And a couple of Defensive players James Lynch (size, strength unmatched).. And Nyrobi Akai (just like him)

    • Boom says:

OLB’s – Addison Gumbs, Thomas (okie kid), Hines & Browning. would love to get a combination of those players..
RB – If we are taking two, gotta have Chuba Hubbard.

      • Randy says:

Yes, for sure want those higher ranked ones (especially Browning) but I could see these 4 being ranked high or just as thought of as well. Just as importantly they all seem to fit the offense and defense schemes.

  • Eric Hutton says:

I agree with beefing up the D line. It’s critical to winning the next Naty. I’m praying we can get Wilson, Rogers and Watts and then some….

  • soonersd says:

anyone know Reager and Rambo’s height/weight off hand?

  • SoonerfanTU says:

I’d be okay taking Reagor, Rambo, Rison and either Manning or somebody else, even if that meant losing Lamb.

  • Sooner Man says:

Nick Robinson TE/WR out of Putnam City could be an option to offer to out of our own backyard I think we will have to start recruiting some as athletes. Thus I could see us offer Wallace’s brother and flip them at some point as well. We need to work on LB and OL now i see us I signing a full 25 this year possibly.

  • Jason Vos says:

Tyrell Shavers please OU needs to get this guy. Spread the word TFB

Yessir, he would be a huge get. These guys that are in our back yard we need to get! I know 2018 is a long way out but at Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, they will have 2 top 100 recruits. Mason Harrell a PG and Treyvon Hopkins a PF. Both had huge seasons as Sophomores and have a ton of potential. Watch out for these two.

    • cush creekmont says:

Been thinking about him, too. Figure he kept TFB in the loop as much as anyone so will likely hear it here first. Just keep him in your thoughts and prayers that his situation has a positive outcome above all. 2nd…he is on the field as a Sooner someday Sooner than later.

    • Tucker says:

You gonna be down town at all?

    • Tucker says:

I only ask if you’re gonna be downtown because if you are, pretty much anything off of Broadway are good places to hang. Some are a little bit more packed then others but you will have an ample amount of choices.

    • Stepmcdo says:

Midtown area (right around Vandy) has alot of good bars and sports bars depending on what type of atmosphere youre looking for. Soulshine, for example, is right in the heart of that area and usually has live music as well.

    • Will Narramore says:

Doubledogs is a new place that just opened in Hillsboro Village. Great set up and about 25 different TVs with a couple big screens. And if its a nice day the whole place becomes kind of like an open air venue

  • j l says:

Really nice to be filling spots up before the spring game, instead of scrambling at the end of the season.

    • DCinAZ says:

It would appear there has been a 180 degree change in recruiting philosophy down in Norman.

      • j l says:

Man it sure has, and im loving it. Coach did an amazing job with these new hires.

        • DCinAZ says:

It’s not necessarily the new hires that impresses me so much as it is stubborn ol Bob realizing that he needed to make drastic changes and actually did so.

          • paganpink says:

Well, maybe. But stubborn old Bob got himself once again into the top rankings and the National Championship playoff and gained an enormous amount of positive publicity by using an exciting young quarterback and an equally exciting and also young new offensive coordinator making it an attractive destination for those wanting to be at the top of college football for the next few years. Success breeds success and since Stoops loves to win- and does so very often- it’s hard to not be excited about coming to OU where he is also known as a guy who “does it right” and there is no one claiming the Sooners have to pay people to play here or help them cheat on tests if they can’t do the work. Good for ol’ Bob!

          • DCinAZ says:

I agree. He’s only 55. I never believed he was “in decline” like a lot of people were saying. He still has plenty of years left if he wants to.

          • Rick says:

Now…if Bob can figure out a way to keep the group together for a while after success, could be something really special. It would be nice to have the same group together for at least 3-4 years and create some stability and an assembly line before moving on.

          • soonerthunder says:

I don’t think he’s stubborn at all. I think he was tied up in building a big house for a few years and he’s very competitive. The house is finished and he’s much more involved in recruiting than ever before–that’s what I noticed especially after the 5 loss season. HE took off, and it makes the other guys’ jobs easier when the HC himself is passionately involved in recruiting. It’s hard to recruit above your HC.

  • Kyle Boone says:

I would be really surprised if Omar commits, too. Having Reagor and Rambo may push him elsewhere, IMO. Has a better chance elsewhere. Even if he does commit, I wouldn’t bet that all three end up in crimson on signing day. If so, that would be a major feat.

    • metzker says:

      We could also get Gunner!!!!!!!!!

    • Exiled In Ohio says:

The Cowgirls must be getting full up at WR, since all of these guys are gonna flip any day. Hope you guys don’t steal them all.

      • Brien Brown says:

Kyle is a good guy but, he makes a valid point, I think if Omar doesn’t commit soon, and Rison does before him we may not take anymore WR’s and only take a TE type. Now with that said you don’t pass on good talent. But, with the spread we run all 4-5 guys could see field at the same time and soon if as good as we think they are.

        • Exiled In Ohio says:

I agree. I worry about some of these guys seeing all the big-time WRs we have and backing off. But … if someone is afraid of competition they probably don’t have #OUDNA anyway.

          • Brien Brown says:

Well I don’t think Rison is a kid that will back off in fact he seems like the type of player to kind of set the mold and the bar as far as what we expect out of the other guys. If he is like his dad he will come in with attitude and talent and back it up. I have said we needed a great WR class and LB class and it seems at this point we are in a really good spot to do both in this class.

  • RBear says:

Addison Gumbs? Whatta name! Gotta have him based on that alone.

  • Stephen says:

If I’m OU, I put on a show for Ausbon, that guy is way too good to be going to a mid-major, new-money program like Baylor.

  • SamSooner says:

I just booked my flight for the tOSU game. Flying into DFW. That was the best price going. Everything into OKC was priced higher.

    • KJ1123 says:

DWF or Love is always the way I go. Just a short drive up to Norman. I actually fly into Love alot because it’s easier.

      • SamSooner says:

I saw Love but I didn’t trust it.

I can’t wait to get out there. I will book the hotel later this summer to get the best price. I wanted to book my flight right away because the closer the date the more expensive the ticket.

        How goes it, KJ?

        • KJ1123 says:

I never had a problem with Love it’s small and simple, 35 is literally 10 mins away. Yeah now is the time to get the bookings done. I was looking at Houston today, then have to look at tOSU game as well.

Good Sam, same ol. Just slowly inching toward the season. How are things?

          • SamSooner says:

Things are good. Max is excited about the game.
We will definitely have to hook up. RR mentioned that he would be there also. I expect Dustin and Sooner Ray will be there too. I’d like to see as many TFBers as possible.

          • KJ1123 says:

Its’ gonna be a fun game/atmosphere for sure. I suspect OU will have ALOT of visitors as well.

          • SamSooner says:

I have some connections to Stoops. I’d like to be able to get on the field or meet the players at some point.

          • KJ1123 says:

That would really cool. There are always a TON of people on the sidelines pre-game. If not they all sit in the family section I think, so you can always wander over that way.

          • SamSooner says:

            I’m super excited. I can’t wait.

        • Rick says:

I’ve never had any problems at Love either Sam, I actually prefer it to getting out of town north.

          • SamSooner says:

Thanks, Rick. I suppose I could have come here and asked before booking. Regional airports are good, too. But, oh well.

          • Rick says:

You’re probably not going to have any problems not matter how you go, a lot of it is personal preference.

          • Rick says:

Sam, there is going to be a huge amount of road construction in the Lewisville area, I would recommend one of two routes back to Norman, take TX 114 west, to either US377 North (to Denton) get on I-35N or take TX 114 west all the way to I-35 North. Either route will save you time going through Lewisville.

          • SamSooner says:

Thanks, Rick. Good to know. I’ve made a copy of your post.

          • jimintexas says:

I agree. Go out the North exit, get on 114. That is the benefit of DFW. Car rental is on the South side. I would drive through the airport to the North side. If you go out the south exit, go to 360, head North to 114. As it gets closer to game time, you may want to ask if there is the need to miss construction in OK.

      • kt-raida says:

        love is nicer

        • KJ1123 says:

I like it better than DFW

        • Okie403 says:

Esp if you can get flight on VirginAmerica. Yes that’s an airline. I didn’t say a Virgin in America which in some spots maybe a lil tuff to find

        • Jim Casy says:

Agree. super easy airport to navigate and Southwest usually has good deals. Can be from runway back to car leaving airport in no time.

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Love is much easier to deal with. I grew up in north Texas so I’ve got plenty of Sooner brothers who will be making the trip with me to the Ohio state game. The renovations are coming along and I’m excited to see everything complete for that game. Can y’all imagine the recruiting gains we will net if we beat big bad Ohio state? Uhhhh, I want it now lol.

    • rphokc says:

it would be interesting to see this same group play billy-ball with tubbs in his prime……think they would be pretty successful at it

      • Rick says:

I always enjoyed Billy Ball. My favorite moment of his ever, was this classic clip.
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM6dwb3zIIo

        • Sooner Ray says:

My all time favorite Tubbs moment. I remember laughing until I hurt when he said that.

          • SoonerinLondon says:

It is one of the great moments in Sooner sports. It was absolutely amazing.

Turned the game around, too. They were drilling us and it ended at that moment.

        • Hotrod33 says:

I was at that game and it was pure classic. I think everyone was laughing and cheering instead of booing and yelling. One of the best moments for sure.

      • SamSooner says:

It would be interesting. They are definitely more athletic.

        • Rick says:

If I remember right, I think Billy used to have the guys doing aerobics for the pace that they played. Watching an OU/Loyola Marymount game was the equivalent of watching the ball in a tennis match.

  • Sooner Ray says:

If it’s Taco Tuesday and a full blood Mexican woman brings a pot of roasted pepper salsa she has been cooking all day, go ahead and wrap a towel around your head to catch the massive amounts of sweat that follow. It has been about three hours since and I am regaining the feeling in my lips, tongue, and cheeks. Heat is still in my chest area so I expect gravity to continue. Considering taking a bucket of ice to the throne in the morning. Soooooo good I couldn’t stop eating. And on another note, let’s make a run for Aubson. 🙂

      • Sooner Ray says:

lol, dude, I have eaten raw habanero and love jalapeno’s. I don’t know what was in this stuff but it was awesome and painfull. Everyone that scooped some on a chip coughed to open their airway. It was a fun night. 🙂

        • Rick says:

It’s all in the talent of cook, I happen to know a little Columbian Chili Pepper ( my buds wife) who can “make a jalapeno angry”, usually jalapeno’s don’t do much for me, but if she wakes one up, it will make you piss fire.

    • Jim Casy says:

The slow cooking causes a delay on the heat, IMO. By the time you feel the heat, you are already screwed.

  • Doobie74OU says:

Glad we had a great weekend recruiting and 2 awesome OP to start the week cause I am standing by my wifes truck that she locked herself out of and lost the key. When I showed up she took my truck and went home and I am waiting for the locksmith to show up. At least he is my brother in law and it shouldn’t to much

    • Sooner Ray says:

You’re a good man Doobie, I usually just bust a window.

      • Jim Casy says:

Attempted to do that at my corporate job parking lot when I worked in DFW. Security swarmed me in a flash. I was like, no, really, it IS my car.
Early rush hour commute.. Irving back to Dallas on a Friday apprx 4pm…I took the busted passenger window vs waiting on and paying a locksmith in that mess.

  • Jason Vos says:

Any Reason OU is not recruiting Mustang DT Deontre Thomas? This is not the time to be slow playing DT’s, this kid is good. Has offers from Arkansas and Michigan, and supposedly also got offered by Texas A&M. Coach Thibs needs to get on it ASAP

  • BleedCrimson says:

I only caught the last 5 minutes of the Lon Kruger special on CBSSports network from 10-1030pm. But it was very well done. He talks about family and coaching. They talked to him, his wife, and daughter with grandchildren. He says that OU is his last coaching job. I did a search and found it will be rebroadcast on Friday at 4:30pm. Hope everyone can catch it. Well worth watching.

    • Sooner Ray says:

I will try and set the DVR. I was one scratching my head at the hire but he has impressed the hell out of me as a coach and a man in general. We scored big there.

      • BleedCrimson says:

Agreed. He is an eternal optimist. In my opinion, one of the best men in coaching, period.
