I know I said we’d probably only do these for “big” games and, with all due respect to the Wildcats, this game, on paper, really doesn’t qualify.
But it’s Saturday, there’s really nothing else going on, and we have one of the best basketball teams in the country.
So I figured, screw it.
Time to get some revenge on EMAW after getting swept last year and missing out on a co-Big 12 title as a result.

Latten will be the difference. This kid has a high ceiling and he’s just starting to grow in to his role. His physical play in the paint should take us far if he gives effort like he did on Monday night.

Really gonna miss him next year.
Hollis Price will always be one of my favorite players of all time, but Buddy is working his way to the top as well. Both are clutch and can shoot with the best. I think Buddy can create his own shot more effectively, and can wear a defender as his jersey, just a little better.

Good to see Lon mixing up his lineups today! Great experience for everybody to play with everybody, and to get the main guys some rest… Sure makes it a lot easier to do that when its not vs another top 10 team!
Who is that big dummy that keeps hitting 3’s? Why does someone always do that against OU?

Crowd needs waking up, too. Something about OU crowds, even at football games….it’s like they get bored quickly or something. No patience to help will the team thru tough times.
Are you at every football and basketball game cheering and being loud? If not, don’t judge crowds. If you’re not a solid contributor, your critique is irrelevant.
Just stating a fact that it’s silly to set at home and talk about the crowd. Go be a part of it.
It’s silly to assume that I live in Norman/OKC while making my comment and that I can make it to OU games regularly.
Also, my comment was partly in reference to the times that I’ve been at LNC and Memorial stadium.

I’m assuming you watched the Kansas game, those two 3s he hit back to back were huge. Having a 4 that can step and and shoot is a huge advantage.
Aaron Mcgee and his ability to hit the mid range jumper made us so tough.
And that one he just hit.
Come March it could be the difference in going home or nailing that game winner as time expired. His reluctant to shoot the 3 in overtime against Kansas would of helped big time especially with Cousin having a off night.

I can’t believe how much buddy improved from last year to this year. Last year when there was talk he might leave for the draft, I thought there was no way he would make a nba roster. Now I want him starting for the thunder.
I’d love to see him paired up with Blake and Paul.

I just would like to see 2 OU guys take a team to a championship. Hield would be a really nice fit on that team, too.
He would be a really nice fit anywhere if he can produce offensively like he has this year. He’s got a jr smith type game but clearly a better attitude.
He can take Ginobili spot next year! He has NBA size and athleticism. Plus he’s a stone cold killer, virtually no glaring weekness!
True he has covered the biggest weakness this year which was his handling. He’s also much more consistent.

They had a couple of amazing spurts, but have been lazy and sloppy a lot too.
We lose a lot defensively when Lattin sits.
He does alot of dirty work down low, in my opinion that’s what you want your center to do. Let the playmakers win the the game and get all the glory.
His timing is really good. Much improved. Combined with his athleticism, he’s turned into a nice defender.
I just don’t understand what the Big 12 refs are seeing 90% of the calls they do and don’t make. Zero consistency.

Woodard hasn’t hit that midrange jumper all year. Same with Cousins. Need to stop shooting those.
Another non-existent offensive performance from Cousins, again.
No confidence. He should’ve went to the hole, had a smooth crossover to get the advantage, but passed it off.
He is struggling big time with shot but fortunately the switch with Woodard, and his huge scoring input has been able to offset it so far.

Anyone ever think Lon just takes it easy on his Alma Mater? Seems like we should kill KSU, but we always struggle.
Weber’s style makes for an ugly game and makes it difficult to stay in tempo. They played UNC and lost 70-80. You play KSU and it is going to be ugly.
Yeah…it’s just that we looked damn near unbeatable for the first several minutes or so, and got up on them by 20+. From then on we only looked really good when we absolutely needed it. The rest of the time we just looked lazy.
Plus, you’d think that after a game like the one in Lawrence, we’d be looking to blow up our next opponent. Not really complaining about the win…just seems odd that KSU is the opponent we struggle against. Oh well.
Great to get that revenge win against a solidish Kst, time to renew the team’s defensive focus now!

Question for you peeps. What has been added or subtracted to this BB team to make it where we are right now. Seems like there is no fear with this team.
I think Thomas was a liability on the defensive end. Also switching Cousins to point was huge.
You can see that buddy’s offseason workout has affected everyone…that and pure coaching has been the keys to Oklahoma success

Thanks, I went and voted for Buddy. Hoping that Cousins breaks out of his slump soon, been a long dry spell for him. Looks like his shot has flattened out on him like it was earlier in his career. He will get it back, just needs to play through it.
