I loved hearing the victorious chant of Boomer Sooner in stoolwater while those retard puke fans kept pounding their paddles like they had a chance.
Imagine if we have a rematch of the Alabama game in the national championship. That may set up to be the most epic game of all time.
Bama is passing challenged. They can run and play defense, but we proved that they can’t stop us.

I think this one is sweeter because not only did we do it after a terrible season, but we’ve pretty much dominated in a fashion that’s almost better than we did in ’03-’04 or ’08. We’ve still got some weaknesses but the team is fighting and improving every step of the way.
This team grew up under fire. There is a special bond here. I’m glad I got to witness it.

Gonna get a big raise, but still may get offers.
He’ll get offers. You would have to be insane not to see his value. However, OU also sees his value and can offer him something most universities could only dream of: a fat paycheck and the luxury of waiting for the right opportunity.
Lincoln Riley doesn’t have to jump at the first mid-major seat to open up. He can stay here, utilize the incredible talent still coming into Norman and wait for one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to arrive — like Stoops did when the OU job opened up in ’98.
I suspect with the raise he will get during the off season will an incentive for Lincoln to wait until he can get a coaching job a power 5 conference school with a real opportunity to be successful and win consistently. Don’t see him going to a Purdue, Wake Forest type school. But who knows but I don’t see him taking anything less than the right AAC or Conference USA school.
Or maybe even a few seeds planted for moving in to Bob’s spot one day. We have a great collection of coaches now. Hold on tight to them Bob/OU.

It’s amazing how different 1 year makes…for all the doubt we had in Bob Stoops wanting to compete for championships every year, OU is still relevant and the hot team in the country. Feels so right!

Nah, we beat them 51-48 in OT at our place in 2012, and that gave US a chance at the “share” of the big 12 title (which we earned the next week). They had a chance to wrap it up with that game, but, we BEAT them.

LOL, I think that story actually is up. As much as I like BM, Henry deserves the trophy. He’s been unbelievable this year. I hope we get a chance to go against him again in the playoffs.
Like I said before, no way. He’s had a good season, no doubt about it, but not even as impressive as Perine’s last year, and he didn’t even get a mention. The only reason he’s up there is #SEC
That is true, the one thing he has going for him this year is rushing for 200+ in 4 games this year, which ties Bo Jackson and Hershel Walker for that mark in the SEC. But when you’re team can’t throw it successfully, what are you supposed to do?
It seems someone like Baker is more deserving
:
1) because of his leadership
2) because of his ABSOLUTE importance to this team
3) He has a great running game, with TWO nfl caliber backs, and yet still puts up the numbers he does.
Lets see Henry rush for so much if Bama had ANY sort of passing game.

With all due respect, Henry is a hoss. He cut through us pretty well as a frosh in the Sugar. He’s big and strong and a one cut house it. I truly think Mayfield deserves it over him. But I wouldn’t discount Henry at all. Teams know Bama is not that great in the air so they know they have to stop Henry and they can’t.
He still has to play that florida Defense.

Here is some info on how good Cale was/is. Seems Mike gets WAAAAY too much of the national attention from the Gundy family, considering his little bro was/is quite possibly much better.
“A native of Midwest City, Okla., Gundy was the crown jewel of the 1990 recruiting class signed by OU head coach Gary Gibbs. He was a Parade All-American in high school who threw for more than 7,000 yards and 53 touchdowns in his career. His ability to throw was the main reason the Sooners shelved the wishbone offense.
As a freshman, he set passing marks for completions (54), attempts (109) and yards (904) while earning Big Eight Conference Offensive Newcomer of the Year honors. Was an honorable mention all-conference pick as a sophomore who hit 91 of 172 passes for 1,228 yards and eight touchdowns. The highlight of the season came with his record-shattering performance against Virginia in the Gator Bowl. For the evening he completed 25 of 31 passes for 329 yards and two touchdowns. His completions, attempts and yardage were each new school records, while his yardage also snapped the league bowl game record which was held by his brother, Mike, in the 1988 Holiday Bowl.
By his junior season, the question wasn’t about breaking the passing records, but by how much. He played in only nine games because of injuries, however still set seasonal standards in every passing category. Wanting to show that his performance in the Gator Bowl wasn’t a fluke, Gundy began the 1992 season by setting an all-time OU single-game passing mark with 341 yards.
Entering his final season, Gundy already owned every passing mark at OU, but now wanted a conference title. He led the Sooners to five straight wins to start the season, including a 38-17 victory over Texas. However, an injury limited his play in a loss to Colorado and road losses to Kansas State and Nebraska crushed the title hopes. Still, OU finished 9-3 overall and played in the John Hancock Bowl in El Paso against Texas Tech. Again, Gundy was hot hitting 15 of 26 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns in the OU victory.
Gundy, who paced the Sooners to a 31-13-2 record during his four seasons, is still the only quarterback in OU history to throw for more than 4,000 yards. As a matter of fact, his 6,142 career passing yards are almost twice as many as Bobby Warmack threw for (3,527), and Warmack ranks second on the list. He held virtually all of the Sooners’ single-game, single-season and career passing records until they were rewritten by Josh Heupel in 1999.”

LR really has adjusted his scheme to match roster. His QB were throwing 50 times a game at ECU. He didn’t try to force that here. He knew he had talented backs and he’s found a way to make power running the base of OU’s spread offense. OU ran for 344 yards on 42 rushes vs 180 yards on 25 passes tonight.
Let’s not overlook what BB has done with this offensive line, with two freshman. Steady progress, week in and week out. That’s good coaching.
The steady progress is what’s been most impressive. This is not the same team we saw barely get past Tenn or lose to Texas.

You can really say almost every position is playing really well at the right time. Don’t think you can leave any of the coaches out for some praise, and that reflects back on BGB.
What Bedenbaugh did this year was form the nucleus of a line that should be stout for years to come. Thanks to the development of Alvarez, Brown and Samia the Sooner OL should be damn good for a while.
Then when you factor in the playing waiting in the wings, as well as the OL that are likely to jump on board after this season, OU’s line fortunes look very wealthy.

You willing to do anything it takes is what is going to get you the offer you want. Take unofficials as much as possible (to OU), train like a madman and make sure your academics are on point. Really open up communication lines with the OU coaches. You’re a good athlete and have good instincts you definitely deserve a look imo. The process can be arduous, but it’s worth it to get where you want to be.
So… Definitely your a good hitter. Very impressive highlights. Only saw u in coverage 1 clip. That would probably be why u wouldn’t be able to play lb in the big 12. Which then means u would be an undersized d linemen. If u love OU then u could probably walk on. Best of luck to u young man, I would take you on my team.
Thank you. I’m not a bad coverage guy. The problem is we only faced 2 pass heavy teams. I averaged about 14 tackles during those games. Every time I dropped back in coverage, I ether cleaned whoever ran a slant or I had QB contain.
Not that this is any way shape or form a good indicator of being a good football player, but what is your height, weight, and 40 time? Unfortunately these are part of the recruiting game.
