– Austin Roberts: In addition to 2016 DB Maurice Chandler and LB Chris Baccus, the Sooners are targeting a third NEO prospect in DE Austin Roberts. The OU staff reached out around two weeks ago, and to date Roberts has been primarily dealing with Diron Reynolds and Dennis Simmons. Additionally, several OU assistants are expected to stop by in person during the approaching eval period to check in with all three NEO targets. – (Brandon)
– Terrell Bynum: The 2017 WR visited Norman a couple weeks ago with the group of Team 19 All-Stars former NFL All-Pro Keyshawn Johnson brought with him. The talented Cali wideout left without an OU offer, however that has since been remedied. Sooners outside WR coach Dennis Simmons reached out to Bynum last weekend to officially extend the offer. Bynum said he and Simmons talk a lot and that the OU assistant is real straight with him. ‘Doesn’t lie, just gives you the straight facts.’ Which is something Bynum has taken a liking to and while he doesn’t have definite plans at the moment, Bynum says he would definitely like to get back to Norman at some point for another visit. – (Brandon)
– Joseph Lewis: Sticking with the theme of recent offers to 2017 Cali wide receivers, add Joseph Lewis from Hawkins HS (Los Angeles, CA) to the list as well. He and some of his teammates were in Norman for a visit this past Friday. By the time Lewis made it back home, OU had officially extended an offer his way. In speaking with Lewis, he said he loved the visit and mentioned spending quite a bit of time with Simmons and Bob Stoops. Lewis said he is already planning a return trip, and this hopes to bring his family. – (Brandon)

Facts? You never even stated who you believe (opinion, not fact) to be Riley’s top 2. And second, unless those two don’t sign with OU, it’s your opinion, not fact, that they “are not coming to OU.”

Actually forgot on is going to Stanford so his top QB is not coming to OU. How many QB offers has OU offered?
We get one in 1 to 2 weeks. He visited a couple weeks ago and he is a top 100 player. It will happen.

Haskins reminds me so much of Winston. Kendall is a little bit like Mayfield. I like them both and I also like Chandler Garrett out of Mustang.
I am not antsy. If I was a HS QB evaluating OU at this point I would think a great tradition at QB but the last couple of years not so much. With that being said I would be really excited about Lincoln being there but with a watch and see approach. I think if the offense gets clicking this year then you will begin to see guy take a very strong interest in OU but that right now OU is not a top QB target rich environment. IMO
If the offense looks good next season, they’ll get someone good by NSD.
Nah, there’s a lot of good QBs in this class and we seem to be in good shape with some of the ones we are targeting. Plus, we are still QBU.
Is Roberts a 2015 or 2016 grad?
It’s going to be funny how more recruits have OU high on their lists when we start thrashing teams.
Dang, Roberts is 6’6 265+ and moves great for SDE. I like all 3 of those guys and hope the evals go well.

I’m just taking it off of 247 during his sr year in HS. Have no clue what he’s like now. They are really going for length on their DE’s.

I know, it gets old but I try to roll with the punches. If OU is playing anyone, we will lose by 3 TDs or more. If we are going after a kid in recruiting, he won’t come to the Big 12-2, he will go to a good school like Texas, Stanford, or anyone in the SEC. You know it coming which is why I crack up at the guy. He’s not even a good troll, hes a JV troll.

We here about kids seemingly coming out of know where and their recruiting just blows up.
There is a kid from my home town that isn’t listed on any of the recruiting sites. He is a 2016 DT that goes 6’2″ 280 and just finished 22nd in the Texas High School state power lifting meet, 550 squat—325 bench—610 deadlift for a total of 1485. This was the second year for Marshall High’s return to a power lifting program.
Here is his highlight video, they play in a tough district and the team wearing all black was Nacogoches in the first round of the playoffs, the team in all gray with black trim was South Oak Cliff in the second round of the playoffs.
Kid may not be elite or it could be he hasn’t gotten any recognition due to the program only returning after having been down for a few years.
