The Path to Norman

Jer’Michael Carter flew under the radar as a recruit out of Louisiana in the 2023 class. He signed with McNeese, his only reported college offer. After a breakout sophomore season, he entered the transfer portal in April 2025 and chose Oklahoma over Tennessee, Baylor, Utah, and Vanderbilt.

Career so Far

Carter appeared in four games as a McNeese freshman in 2023 and began establishing himself in the receiver rotation.

He started every game for McNeese in 2024, led the Cowboys in each major receiving category, and produced his first 100-yard game.

In his first season as a Sooner, Carter played in all 13 games for in 2025 as an experienced reserve. His largest contributions came late in the season, including productive outings in both meetings with Alabama.
