The Path to Norman

Mackenzie Alleyne was a walk-on with Washington State in their 2024 class after a standout senior season at Tustin High School in California. The receiver prospect earned Empire League MVP and first-team All-CIF honors after producing 1,500 all-purpose yards and 26 total touchdowns. He spent two seasons with the Cougars, including one under OU offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle and alongside quarterback John Mateer. Alleyne entered the transfer portal after the 2025 season, committed to Oklahoma in January 2026, and enrolled later that month.

Career so Far

Alleyne redshirted as a Washington State walk-on in 2024 and worked on the scout team without appearing in a game.

In 2025, Alleyne appeared in every game for Washington State as part of the receiver rotation and on special teams; he recorded his first college touchdown in the Idaho Potato Bowl.
