The Path to Norman

Kade McIntyre was part of the Sooners’ 2023 class. A Nebraska high school product, McIntyre received his OU offer in the spring of 2022; he already offers from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas State, and more. Within a month of the offer, McIntyre committed to OU.

Career so Far

McIntyre played in two games in 2023 on his way to a redshirt. He then played in five games in 2024, but injuries limited his availability.

McIntyre’s 2025 season was cut short by another injury after an early appearance at Temple.

This Season

McIntyre returns from another season limited by injury as the longest-tenured tight end at OU. Transfers Hayden Hansen, Rocky Beers, and Jack Van Dorselaer will lead the completely rebuilt tight end room, led by new coach Jason Witten. McIntyre’s time at Oklahoma can help the group, but his biggest goal this season will be to stay healthy and make it through the full year.
