The Path to Norman
Andy Bass played high school football just north of Norman at Heritage Hall. The talented athlete played a bit of everything in high school, including a lot of quarterback. Bass’ top three included OU, KSU, and Syracuse; the Sooners won the commitment in the fall of 2023 by adding Bass as a PWO.
Bass suffered a torn ACL in the state championship during his senior season, but still earned the 2023-2024 Gatorade Oklahoma Football Player of the Year.
Career so Far
In 2024, Bass was named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll. He redshirted and did not play. Unfortunately, he also suffered another ACL injury and had surgery number two shortly after the season.

This Season
Bass is now on the return from two ACL surgeries. He’ll look to continue his recovery and find a role in the backfield for the Sooners.
